Chapter 1[The Abandoned House]

It was a cold night in December the cool breeze of wind was touching their faces and the sky was cloudy Mrs park was driving to their countryside home for hours while Jimin was sitting on the backseat of the car wearing his earphones for avoiding the night it's been more than 10 years since they had visited his old home because of the incident that happened years ago which ruined their lives forever but now they're going to live in that house again so Mrs. Park was worried about his son she still remembered that night and not just Mrs park even Jimin still couldn't forget about that night but she had no option left.

For years Mrs. Park was living in Seoul along with his only son jimin she was running a small cafe for living while Jimin who had been witnessed the horrible incident of that night was diagnosing with PTSD however after being treated for years he was under control but whenever he saw something related to his past he got panicked but still after all this struggle they were living their lives peacefully in Seoul suddenly the fire happened and burned their cafe and they lost everything their money even their home as they were facing financial issues so she couldn't afford the expenses of the city so she decided to came back into their countryside home however she was worried about his son she knew those horrible memories will trigger him again

Jiminah" we'll be there in 10 minutes., She said
Oh seriously., He asked anxiously,
Hmm...I know you don't wanna live there but we don't have any option left., Mrs. Park replied to him

Jimin took out his earphones as the thought of living in that house again was frightening him but he was pretending to be normal in front of his Eomma because he knew that it would make her worried he took a deep breath gathered up his all energy and tried to calm him down while Mrs. Park who was looking normal was equally worried about him.

After riding for 10 minutes they finally arrived there, Jimin came outside of the car and looked vacantly on that house and regained all the cruel memories of his darkest past Mrs. Park who was standing next to him patted on his shoulder,
It's hard but we'll make through, she said and smiled
In her reply, jimin nodded his head without saying anything and sighed,
Slowly they walked towards the house the door creaked as Mrs. Park opened it.

They entered the house, After walking through the long hallway Jimin saw the upstairs on his left he walked through the upstairs and got stood in front of the corner room while Mrs. Park Got busy In checking the other room.

Jimin slowly opened the door After staring for a while and the creaked of the door broke the silence around him his heart started beating faster and the memories of this room started to haunting him again however he entered in the room and turned on the lights and looked around, Everything was covered in dust except his memories which were still fresh in his head he was gazing the room with his heavy heart tears were falling down as he started to having flashbacks again he turned back and decided to leave the room, suddenly, The light turned of and the pitch black darkness covered the room and he got scared of the sudden darkness he checked his phone in his pants first in his right pocket and then in the left but couldn't find his phone he got anxious then he realized that he had took his phone in his jacket earlier he took out his phone turned on the light and looked around the room through his phone suddenly he noticed a shadow is standing in the corner of the room he got frightened his hands started to shivering and he was sweating, breathing heavily, the only voice he could hear at that moment was his heartbeat which was increasing as the shadow was coming towards him with the hammer in his hand he wanted to screamed but he felt like his voice got stuck inside of his throat he sat down on the floor and covered his face in his knees tears were flowing down on his chubby cheeks and he was helplessly looking at the shadow which was getting closed to him suddenly he heard someone is opening the door now he closed his eyes tightly and folded himself like a ball he heard someone is getting closed to him he got even more scared he tightened his grip suddenly he felt a warmth of a hand on his head and his breath stuck inside of him his heart skipped a beat he thought that the shadow finally approached him and now it will kill him he slowly opened his eyes looked up with the fear but it was his Eomma.Jemimahh it's me baby" don't scared.., she said
"Eomma" he quickly holds her hand and hugged her tightly, He was crying he wanted to tell what he was experiencing but still couldn't speak anything.,
Mrs. Park realized that he's getting hallucinations again she kissed on his head patted his shoulder but Jimin was still shivering in fear.,
Ssshhh calm down I'm here just calm down., You don't need to scared of anything..she said while patting his back.,
But jimin was still panicked Mrs. Park detached him from herself and said
Look at me and take a deep breath with me..she said while holding his face
Jimin took a deep breath with his Eomma and looked around in the room but the Shadow was disappeared after came back into his senses he started to speak
Eomma Ii. I saw him aaa.. again., he said
You Don't need to scared of anything your Eomma is here..now let's go from here...she said while holding his hand
Jimin got up with his Eomma's help and came out of the room
But before the exit, he looked at that room again with fear in his eyes.

Jimin came down and sat on the couch in the living room while Mrs. Park lightened up the candles around him Jimin was holding his head from his hands he was still so anxious
It's a power breakdown in the whole town it will take some time.., Mrs. Park said and gave him his anxiety pills with a glass of water Jimin swallowed his medicines and drank an entire glass of water at once he slowly got calmed after taking his medicine Mrs. Park sat down next to him
You shouldn't go there.,Mrs park looked at him and said.,
I'm sorry Eomma I don't know why I went there...he said with guilt on his face
No don't be sorry I should say sorry to you for putting you in this situation., but I promise you I will try to move out from here she replied to him and patted her head
You're not responsible for this Dad put us in this situation he was a monster... I hate him.., He said and laid down on the couch he put his head on her lap and fell asleep as the dose was slightly heavy and he was so exhausted but Mrs. Park was looking at his face running her fingers through his hair she was feeling heartache because this wasn't the life he had dreamt about his son she always wanted to see her son growing like a normal kid living a normal life, making friends like a normal teenager but it was a dream which could never come true tears were flowing down through her eyes and her heart was burning like fire but she couldn't change the past she couldn't get back whatever she had lost at that night and that one thought was driving her crazy and she was not able to sleep

"The Next morning"

Yuri woke up as she heard the sound of her alarm she peeked out through her blanket and turned off the alarm then she fell asleep again after a while Mr. Kim entered the room and took off the sheets.

It's already late... wake up now., Mr. Kim said
Mmm good morning Appa, yuri who had fully awaken now greeted him.,
Good morning kiddo.,he greeted her too
Are you going this early., She asked him
Yes I have to go I have some work I'll be late so don't wait for me and don't forget to lock the door..he said.,
Appa don't worry I'll take care of me., Yuri replied him.,
I'm going now take care., Mr. Kim said kissed her on her head, and left her room.,
Ok, goodbye take care., She replied to him and stretched out and then she got up from the bed and went for the shower.,

While Mr. Kim came downstairs picked his car keys and went outside,
but he became shocked as he saw the car outside of that abandoned house which was located exactly in front of his house he quickly guessed that Mrs. Park and his son had returned now as he knew this house wasn't able to sell because of its past events but his mind was asking the only one question " Why they're back now"?even after so many years.

Mr. Kim had known the Park family since Jimin was 8 years old even he had been a huge part of ruining their lives but after that night he couldn't sleep because of the guilt he wanted to apologize but he couldn't find them even after being a police officer but now he had a chance to apologize then after thinking for few minutes he started to walk towards their house and rang the bell Mrs. Park who was busy in the kitchen came to open the door she got shocked and the anger inside her started looking on her face
"Kim Yeon Joon" She whispered his name
you still remembered me., he said
How can I forget you, You're the one who ruined my life.,she replied.
