Kids filed into the lunch room, sitting down at their usual tables despite not having assigned seating.

Remus and Janus led Virgil to their lunch table. Virgil groaned. "Do I have to talk to people?"

Janus laughed. "You sure do." He grabbed onto Virgil's arm and dragged him off. Once they made it, he 'forced' Virgil down into a seat.

Virgil huffed, resting his chin on his hand.

Remus chuckled at him. "You'll live, besides, they're nice people." He hummed.

Virgil hummed. "Okay, yeah."

Janus poked him. "Stop being so down in the dumps."

"Yeah! Lighten up." (ha.ha.ha... pun, 'cause it's Sanders Sides and light sides... :'D)Remus smiled.

"In case you haven't realized, I'm not a people person. As in, people are gross and I hate them."

Janus rolled his eyes. "We're not huge fans of people either and here we are."

Two boys came over, holding hands and sitting across from the others.

"Remus, Jay... Who's this?" A boy with messy brown hair and brown sparkling eyes hidden under big round glasses asked the others.

"Yeah..." The kid next to him hummed, same eyes but instead had reading glasses.

"This," Janus started, gesturing to the other boy, "is Virgil. He's new."

Virgil gave a two finger salute. "Hey."

"Well, hi," The rounded glasses kid waved. "I'm Patton Crimson."

"Emile Picani." The other hummed, smiling softly.

Virgil hummed in acknowledgement. Janus nudged him in the side. "Be nice."

Just then, Roman, along with two other girls showed up. Carly hummed, giving a sickeningly sweet smile. "Hello, new kid."

Virgil rolled his eyes. "Well if it isn't the Wicked Bitch of the West."

"I like that nickname." Remus chuckled.

"Agreeeed!" Emile giggled.

She growled. "I'd watch the way you talk to me. I can easily make your life hell."

"Like it already isn't," he muttered.

She scoffed. "Right, yeah. You're probably faking the whole depression act anyways. Just to look cool, right?"

Roman pulled on her arm. "Carly, stop."

"What, baby?" She looked at him, batting her eyelashes innocently. "I'm just observing."

"Yeah, well your 'observations' are harmful to others. So stop."

Remus nudged Janus. "He finally says something," he murmured to him.

"I agree with Princey. Leave my new friend alone," Patton huffed.

Carly rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You guys don't know how to take any damn criticism. Fags."

Roman clenched his teeth. "Let's go. Leave them alone."

"Very well," she hummed, grabbing his hand and dragging him away. The other girl gave a judgemental glare before walking behind them.

"I swear if she wasn't a girl, I might have socked her in the jaw." Remus growled.

Patton pouted. "No violence." He huffed.

"Okay Dad," Remus huffed back. Emile laughed at both of them.

Virgil held in a chuckle. "You guys are a mess."
