CRAM Chapter 10-The Storage Room

"That's n-not a good joke."

Yes, it's a joke. I know it.

I saw Wendy smile at Lucy.

Then it means...?

"Excuse me. But I object."

Lucy laughed. Now what's funny?

Ah, now I know. It's like I was objecting on a wedding. Like a mistress.

"I am objecting too." She raised her hand. Wow, she's like in a classroom, reciting.

Lucy put on a blank face, "We have somebody we like."

"And we do not like each other." I continued.

"So it's really not a good idea. And I suggest that you stop making this arranged marriage."-Lucy

"Yes. We also need to finish our studies and—"

"We can already cancel your studies. You two are already too smart." Aunt Layla interrupted what I was about to say. They'll really do anything, huh?

"But I really don't want to. Besides, if we do not study, we would not achieve our dreams."-Me

Lucy jabbed her hand at me, "He's right."

Mom sighed and raised her hands in defeat. "Alright, kiddos. You win. But... in one condition."

"What is it?"-Lucy and me

"The arranged marriage will still continue after your studies."

"Mom!"

"Aunt Grandine..."

"She's just kidding. We know that this would be your decision, so we made another plan."

Lucy and I asked the same question we asked at mom.

"You two would be in a relationship. For a month."

...

There was a moment of silence.

Awkward.

Lucy stood up. "I.. still don't agree with this."

And she stood up.

"Natsu, convince her." I was speechless at mom. I did not give her an answer and left.

I saw Lucy at our garage, caressing my orange car.

"Hey." I started. She didn't bother to answer. Even look.

"I know this is awkward but..."

"Do we really need to do this?" she asked.

"Well.. not really. But if you don't want to be hurt again then we can... try it." I shrugged.

I waited for her to speak again.

Moments later, she sighed. "Alright. I'll give it a shot."

"Are you sure about this?"

"Of course."

Then she suddenly hugged me.

"Can we still be friends? Even if we're in relationship?"

The heck? We're in a fake relationship and she still asked that question?

Instead of rudely answering her, I nodded. But I am still unsure.

Two weeks had already passed.

I'm sure there's only two or three more weeks left.

And I'm happy...

because I hate this relationship. It doesn't suit us.

I was walking down the hall. School was already over and I was planning on eating on the canteen when I heard somebody screaming help from the Storage Room.

I ran right away. I know the owner of that voice.

I immediately unlocked the door and went inside the storage room but then....

*Blag!*

The door was shut behind me.

And I heard sobs.

"W-Who are you? Please help me. I wanna get out of here."

"It's okay, Lucy. It's me, Natsu." Yes, it's Lucy.

"N-Natsu?" And I just felt someone hugging me from behind.

What I didn't understand when she hugged me was that...

my heart beated so fast. Again.

"Singing radiohead at the top of our lungs

With the boombox blaring as we're falling in love.

Got a bottle of whatever but it's gettin' us drunk

Singing here's to never growing up."

This is Lucy, singing at the top of her lungs so she won't be scared.

And trust me, you don't wanna hear it.

We're still in this freaking cold and dark storage room. Now we have our cellphones to light this place.

But it was just little light.

And because Lucy is afraid of the dark, she is now singing. My eardrums would explode. >_>

I felt that she stood up.

"Hey, where are you going?"

"Just—wooooah!!!" And I felt her body fell on mine.

Again, my heart went wild.

Now I can feel her breath.

I cannot see her face anymore because it's dark, but I know she's blushing like me.

And suddenly, I felt her breath getting hotter and closer.

W-Wait.. don't tell me she's gonna...?!

My heart beated faster. My breathing almost hitched.

What shocked me the most was that I closed my eyes.

But then...

*door opens*

"It's a tiring day—" 0______0

"Oh my! We're so sorry, janitor! We weren't doing anything dirty!" I almost choked.

"No! I must be the one to say sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt you!" He shook his head rapidly.

There was an eery silence. Again.

"No. Thank you, and I'm going out." I finally answered and walked out.
