CRAM Chapter 21- How Many Celebrations? (Part 1)

{Lucy}

Three more days before that day. I'm so excited!

Today we decided to go on a hiking adventure on a mountain. It will take us five hours to climb up that mountain. With rest, of course. We can't get up all the way to the top without resting.

"Lucy, I've prepared the food. Shall we go now?" Mom (Grandine) said. I nodded and walked towards the van where everyone else waits.

"All aboard! Let's go!" Natsu cheered.

When we reached the mountain grounds, I stretched up. It was a short ride. This mountain climbing is making me so jumpy all of a sudden.

"Come on! Let's be on our way!" Natsu grinned, gripping my wrists tightly and starting to climb up after the ten minute break.

While climbing, we laughed. Natsu has so many jokes to say. There was a joke about him and after he told us that, I laughed so hard that I think it was echoing.

But I ran out of luck and because I was laughing so hard I didn't notice the rocks and slippery mud I was walking in, I slipped. I closed my eyes and expected to feel the cold and wet mud in my back, but instead I felt a pair of warm ang big arms around my waist.

"Careful." Natsu smiled at me.

"Oi, stop being the public display of affection and hurry up!" Dad (my dad) exclaimed. They were a bit far from us now.

"Coming!" Natsu shouted back and assisted me on regaining my balance. We followed them after that.

"Here we go! We reached the top of the mountain!" Natsu shouted. "Hallelujah!" His voice echoed because of the loudness. The birds even flew away because of him. We're all tired, so how come he still have so much energy left in him?

I tugged the hem of his shirt. He looked down at me with a questionable look. "Would you cut it out? Stop shouting. Can't you see we're resting?"

He pouted, which made me pinch his face and him wince in pain. So adorable. "But I've got so much energy in me. I can't help but shout around. Besides, we've reached the top of the mountain. That's something to celebrate. So why rest?"

"You just don't get it, do you?" I said in defeat. I took a sip in my water jug. I was about to close the jug when Natsu asked something that made me... jittery.

"Can I get an indirect kiss from you?" I almost dropped the bottle. I was speechless the whole time until he grabbed the jug and drank it.

He gave it back, grinning. "Silence means yes. Anyways, if you're wondering how you gave me an indirect kiss, I just drank from the water jug. You drank first, so—"

"Indirect kiss?" We both turned to Wendy who made me come back to reality. I gasped and punched Natsu in his face.

"I should've told you to keep your mouth shut! Never speak things like that when there's a kid around here!" I whisper-yelled. Wendy had this bewildered face so I told her it was nothing important. She shrugged it off and walked away.

I faced Natsu, totally forgetting what happened earlier. He was caressing his face. "Sorry. But next time don't speak like that again." He nodded and glanced away.

"Romeo, what's an indirect kiss?" I heard Wendy ask Romeo. I quickly panicked and told Natsu to stop Wendy. Romeo was blushing hardly and looked like he was about to faint. He's abour to have a major nosebleed.

"You idiot! This is your fault!" I scolded Pinky when he returned from stopping Wendy to ask such questions.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay?" He scratched the back of his head.

"Yeah, forgive your boyfie." I turned around and saw mom (Grandine), mom (my mom), dad (Igneel), and dad (my dad). This is terrible. Even they, our parents, heard everything.

This is one heck of a mountain adventure.

Tomorrow is the day. It was a lovely night at Paris once again. I was catching fresh air at the balcony of my room. And I can't help but ponder if Natsu remembers our special day for tomorrow.

"Hey, shouldn't you be asleep?" I turned to Natsu who was drinking a hot chocolate.

I stood up, yawning. "I guess so. Good night. Sleep now on your room."

The next day, when I woke up, I saw nobody at house. Have they left me already? How cruel!

I checked the calendar and saw it was Saturday. I guess Pinky doesn't remember. What a let down.

I went to the kitchen to get water when I saw a note pasted in the refrigerator. I see, it's from Natsu.

Hey Blondie (Lucy Heartfilia-Dragneel),

We couldn't wake you up, so we decided to walk around without you. Uhm, if you'd want to know where we are, we are at Park de Bagatelle. We left a map for you.

I blushed at the Lucy Heartfilia-Dragneel part. But oh well. I still decided to go to that park.

When I arrived, I saw nobody there. Are they playing with me?! This is not funny. Natsu has forgotten the special day.

All of a sudden....

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NATSU DRAGNEEL AND LUCY HEARTFILIA!" My heart almost jumped out of my chest. Levy, Gajeel, Gray, Juvia, Erza, Jellal... all of my friends and classmates! They're here!

"You think I forgot?" I turned around and saw Natsu wearing a tuxedo. His yellow tie was reminding me of myself.

I smiled genuinely at him and scooted over to him. "Cute. Thanks for everything."

"Here. Wear this." He handed me a pink dress which was somehow reminding me of him.

I wore it along with the necklace he gave me. Aw, this is cute.

I didn't know it, but it seems like our birthday celebration is going to be held here in this park. Spacious and beautiful. The scenery is perfect. The afternoon is not that hot. In fact, it was windy.

Sunset is now ongoing, and the guests are increasing by the minute. Now it was a bit crowded.

After the sunset, I decided to eat and drink. I haven't ate breakfast and lunch, anyway. It was a good thing I didn't pass out.

I was quietly eating and the guests were greeting me a happy birthday. I just smiled and bowed at them as a sign of gratefulness.

Now that I think about it, where's Natsu? I haven't seen him yet after we met awhile ago.

"Lu-chan! Happy, happy birthday! You're now an 18 year old girl! I'm so happy for you!" I hugged Levy-chan and thanked her, giggling.

I grinned after remembering something. "Happy friendsary, Levy-chan, Juvia, and Erza!" It's a double celebration! We hugged each other tightly.

"Legal age, bunny girl?" I nodded at Gajeel.

"Thanks for coming, you guys! Wait. I thought you have school?"

"Duh, Lucy, it's a weekend." Erza shook her head at me, chuckling. Juvia and Gray laughed along with her. The GrUvia couple are now married, I forgot to tell you guys. Yes, but they still go to school. I wonder if they had their honeymoon already...

"Oops. Sorry 'bout that." I said as I finished my food. Erza, Juvia, and Levy looked at each other and suddenly, they pulled me.

"Uhm...? Guys? What's the matter?" I was intrigued by this. Are we having our friendsary party?

"We're going to make you beautiful tonight." What?
