Chapter 9 - The Pain of Finding Her

"Eh? The train is closed?" Fin thought when he saw the sign.

Fin - "It's alright, I can wait for a day or two."

Then Fin goes to his favorite coffee shop.

Fin - "တစ် (one) Burmese curry!"

Store Owner - "လာမယ်! (coming!)"

Then, the atmosphere, the time, even Fin knew. It was time to go back to the past.

Fin - "Ay! Look what I found!"

Sinthira - "Oh my god! Is it him?"

Fin - "Yeah, come closer!"

Sinthira comes closer to him. Fin's heart is beating out of his chest.

Fin - "Heh.. Heh.."

Sinthira - "Fin? The video?"

Fin - "Oh! Uh.. Here it is!"

Fin then plays the video. Sinthira was focused on the video. But the only thing Fin was focused on, it was her.

Sinthira - "Hey Fin, show me more! Hehe!"

Waiter - "Sir, your food is here."

Fin -- "Ah! Thank you."

Fin begins eating the Burmese curry. "Yum!" Fin thought. "What a lovely day." Fin continues. After Fin finishes, he goes outside.

Fin - "Hmm, how much do i have left?"

Fin checked his wallet and had just a bit over 300 BND left. As he walked around the streets a little bit, he then looked into a dark alleyway. There he saw two local men harassing a poor woman.

Fin, being the big hero that he is, Jumped onto them and attempted to stop the harassment. But, it didn't work out as he planned. Just like most of the things he plans. He got beat up, punches left, right and center.

Marco - "Gah!"

Marco suddenly jumps from his hotel bed.

JJ - "Eh? What's wrong?"

Marco - "I can feel my burger getting hurt!"

JJ - "What?"

The girl that was assaulted ran away, but Fin wasn't too lucky. They had beaten him so much that you wouldn't even recognize him anymore. "It hurts." Fin says softly. The two men then ran off with what Fin had left. Now, Fin had nothing left. He was tied up and could barely move. He was left to die.

"This feeling..." Fin thought. "I wouldn't imagine me dying in Myanmar..". "Why did I come here anyway..". Then, memories of Sinthira started going through his mind. "Oh... for... her...". His vision started fading. The last thing he thought about was his friends, family and Sinthira. "Thank... you...for... caring about me...".

Then, the adrenaline started to kick in. He couldn't feel it anymore. He.. could move! Fin then crawls all the way to the street where some locals saw him and brought him to the hospital.

While Fin was getting admitted to the hospital, The Six were watching the television together.

Q - "Damn, Myanmar shows are not that bad."

Dan - "Can't argue with that."

DZD - "Can we check on the train station again? We have to find him as soon as possible."

Television: And now with some news, a tourist from Brunei was badly hurt today at Taunggyi. He is aged 17, and was reportedly helping an assaulted woman. He then..."

JJ - "No way.."

The room was silent. No one could believe what they were hearing. Fin was severely injured. And they were in a panic.

DZD - "Everyone, pack your stuff, now!"

Hong - "Yeah, we're leaving immediately."

Marco - "My burger..."

Everyone then started packing their stuff. In 5 minutes, they were all at the lobby.

Dan - "All this has happened, and we haven't even told him anything yet!"

-Side Story-
Fin wanted to try to work out. In a public park.

Dan - "Come on! 1, 2, 3, 4.."

-1 minute later-

Fin - "Okay, nevermind. I'm going home."
