prom is tomorrow and i'm nervous. but excited. i was hanging out with mateo right now and then later i'm hanging out with jade and she's sleeping over and we're getting ready the next day together.
"i have to say something" mateo said
"yeah?" i said
"what are we"
"i mean. we're talking but we don't act like it"
"how else are you supposed to act" i asked
"like a couple. but not a couple?"
"i get what you mean." i said
"what are we going to do about it"
i mean i don't really know what to do about it.
"act more like we're talking. because it's feels like we just told each other how we felt and then acted like nothing happened."
"ok. i'll try" i smiled
we sat on our phones for a while
"i'm hungry i'm going to get a snack. want anything?" i asked
"no i'm fine"
i nodded and kissed his cheek
"that better?" i smiled
"mhm" he mumbled
i laughed and went to get some popcorn.
"let's watch something" i said look through netflix. we eventually decided to watch wild child. i fell sleep during the movie and mateo must have turned it off and fell asleep as well.

skip 1 hour and 30 minutes
i woke up and mateo was still awake. i was laying on his chest
"what time is it" i asked
"4:24" he said
"have you been awake this whole time?" i asked
"no. i went to sleep for like an hour"
i nodded and went on my phone
jade texted me saying she was on her way
"jades coming over" i said
"ok" he said
we were in our phone for a while.
"we should do something" i said
"like what" mateo said putting his phone down
"dunno" i said hugging his waist
he laughed but hugged me back
"come on. let's go downstairs" he said
"noo" i said tightening my grip
"you just said you wanna do something" he said
"fineee" i said getting up.
i stood on the bed as mateo stood in front of me. he knew what i was going to do. he slightly bent down as i jumped on his back. he ran downstairs and we saw payton
"hey lovebirds" payton said
i jumped off and ran to the sofa next to payton.
"hey paytonnn" i said ruffling his hair
mateo laughed and sat next to me
we all takes for a little bit.
"well i've got to get jackson. but i'll be back later. don't do anything!" he said leaving
"i'm tired" mateo said laying his head on my lap. 
"go to sleep then" i said
he got up. i gave him a confused look.
"what" i laughed
he just looked at me and smiled. he kissed my cheek
"o my god" i laughed
he laid his head back on my lap and i played with his hair. i turned on the tv and just put something random on. not long later jade arrived
"omg you guys are too cute" she said
i looked down at him
"he's awake" i said
he smiled
"he's also very cute"
he blushed and got up and laid his head on my shoulder.
i look over at jade and she was smiling like an idiot.
"are you okay?" i ask laughing
"you guys are so cute!"
"i know aren't we just" mateo said hugging me
payton and jackson came
"hey we're going upstairs. mateo wanna come" payton asked
"sure" he said
he kissed my cheek and went.
"omg. you guys have to be together!?" she said once she heard paytons door close
"nope. not yet at least. we're talking" i said
"omg. you guys are just too cute"
"anyways. enough about me and mateo. prom is tomorrowww! we've been dreaming about this since we were like 6. i can't wait!" i said
"i got a tell you something.." jade said
"what. please don't tell me you and payton broke up!" i said
"no! this other dude asked me to prom. another girl said i liked him. idk who tho. when he asked me i rejected him and told him i have a boyfriend who is coming with me and he got all mad and was like but the girl said you like me and all that" she said
"woah. who was the dude"
"thats the thing. it was jake.."
"JAKE! as in emily's crush jake..!" i said
wasn't expecting that
"yeh.. which is why i think emily. or one of emily's friends set it up.. and that's the girl who told him i liked him.."
"something doesn't add up.." i said
"really? because everything makes perfect sense to me" jade shrugged
"no it's that jake and emily like each other. and they know that. their whole friend group know that. but they aren't together. so if he liked emily. why wouldn't he go with her.." i questioned
"omg yeh. plus since he's popular i don't think someone else saying 'she likes you' would change anything for him" jade said
"i'm so lost but i guess we'll find out tomorrow"
we talked until it was 6:30 and the boys came down
"wanna order pizza?" payton asked
we all agreed and ordered not long later the pizza came and we ate.
"i'm gonna go in the shower i'll see you guys in a bit" jade said going upstairs
"me too" jackson said
"k well i'll be in my room. don't do. anything nasty. please and thank you" payton said going up stairs
i laughed
"what do you wanna do" i said
"nothing. just sitting here is enough" he said cuddling in to me
i turned off the tv and went on my phone
mateo went live
"hey yall. how are you" he said
"watch you be on tiktokroom" he read out
"yeh i know" he said laughing
i leaned my head on mateos
"you guys are so cute. aren't we just" mateo said looking up to me
"really asking to me on tiktokroom now" i said
we stayed on live and answered a few questions before jade came down
"ok mateo now move. let me have your girl for a bit " she said
"nu uh" he said tightening his grip
i laughed and wrapped my arms around his neck
"wow soph. just wow" she said sarcastically
i laughed and kissed mateos head and jade came and sat with us.
we answered a few more questions before ending the live. then payton came down
"weres jax?" i asked
"upstairs in my room" payton said
"ok well i'm going to go shower i'll be back soon" i said
"i'm going to go hang with jackson" mateo said
"don't do anything nasty. please and thank you" i said pointing at payton and jade mimicking payton
i finished my showerqnd it was 9:30. we all watched a movie before doing to sleep. tomorrow is a big day
