i woke up and remembered it was prom. i smiled to myself. i can't wait. prom started at around 4pm and finished at 1am. it was 11am right now. i went on my phone for a bit before going downstairs to make breakfast i just got some cereal. i don't think it has fully hit me that i am going to prom with mateo today. i did nothing the whole day until 12:30 i went in the shower and shaved everywhere. by time i was done it was 2:00 jade came over and we got ready together. once we got ready it was 3:30. the boys came and we took pictures

and more "ok so everyone ready?" i asked we all said yeah and went outside "who called a limo?!" i said mateo came behind me and wrapped his hands around my waist. i turned around and smiled "it was you wasnt it" i said "payton and jackson chipped in a little too" he smiled i hugged him and ran to the limo. we got in and drove to the school. it was 4:15 when we got there. we walked in and we had to sign something i don't really know. then we all took pictures with our dates and went in. we found a table and sat on it. we talked for a bit. "i wanna dance." jade said "payton go dance with her" mateo said "why don't we all go dance?" i said everyone laughed and nodded and got up. a slow song came on and i wrapped my arms around mateo as he wrapped his around my waist. "your really pretty you know" he said i blushed. "you've mentioned" i laughed. i just looked at him. he's so pretty. i could stare at him all day. when i was looking at him i realised something. "wow you have really clear skin. tell me the routine please" i laughed he laughed. his laugh is adorable i leaned my head on his shoulder. soon the slow song ended and i went to get some drinks. "hey" someone said i look to the side and see jake "hi" i said "you look good tonight" he said "i'm not hitting on you don't worry. you just look good" he smiled "thank you" i said "where's em?" i asked "i don't know. she asked me to ask jade out. and she told me to say everything that i said. i don't know why. but i was 'so in love' with her that i did it. but now i think she's just going to humiliate me. yesterday i went to her house and told her whatever we had is over and i haven't seen her here." he said "jake.." i said "you can always come sit with me and my friends" i said "thanks" he helped me bring the drinks back to the table. when he came everyone gave him a look but i explained everything "omg i'm so sorry" jade said "if i knew it was emma's fault i would've said something" "it's fine like you said you didn't know" he said "and now that i look back it was really not love. i didn't love her. she didn't love me. i just really really liked her" the night went by kinda fast. it was now 11:56pm. jake had gone home and we (me mateo jackson payton and jade) were going to the beach because why not. me and mateo split up from the rest and just talked about nothing. mateo stopped walking and i looked behind me. "you ever just look back and think what life would be if we didn't meet..?" he said i walked up to him "well if we didn't meet i'd probably be still obsessing over you" i laughed "but no. not really why?" "because i would want to know. if i never met you. would i be as happy as i am right now. would i have a girl? would she make me happy? would she have broken my heart?" i looked at him "what are you trying to say?" i said "can i do something?" he asked i nodded he stepped closer and put his hand on my cheek. i knew what was about to happen and i wasn't going to do anything to stop it. we both leaned in and eventually our lips collided. his lips were so soft. i felt him smile into the kiss. we pulled away and i just smiled. "what was that for" i laughed "mmm idk" he said "let me try and remind my self again" he said leaning in again. he kissed me again. "mmm doesn't ring a bell. oh well" i laughed. we met up with payton and jade "where jackson?" i asked "he left. he didn't wanna third wheel with us" "let's go to target" i said as we got in the car "in our prom clothes?" payton asked "yeah why not" i smiled "ok?" he said "sort your girl out" he said to mateo. mateo laughed
