Kyōtani's spike flies out of bounds, giving Karasuno the very first set. Oikawa angrily strides over to the blonde and I sigh, looking at Mizoguchi for permission.
"Fine, you can go break it up. Get them over here quickly, alright? I have an idea."
Mizoguchi answers, his answer satisfying me. Leaping from the bench, I jog onto the court and grab Oikawa's arm, preventing him from beating the shit out of his teammate.
"Hey, chill out. It looks like Haj has more control over the situation than we do."
I point out, watching as Iwaizumi lightly smacks Kyō's head. Oikawa groans, but walks over to his teammates with me, keeping his head held high. The disheartened players glance over at me and I elbow Mizoguchi.
"Your turn to hype them up."
I plainly state but the assistant nods, beginning to speak.
"You guys have defeated them before, you can definitely do it again! Kentarō's presence is already phasing them, and we know how they play. Get out there and win, prove that you're the better team."
The coach says and the boys cheer, sprinting back to the court.
"Not bad, Mizoguchi."
Coach Irihata says to his younger friend, who gives me a high-five. The two of us grin and sit back on the bench, both eager for the chaos of the game to truly begin.

"Holy shit, that cross shot was insane!"
I yell as Kyōtani scores, easily sending the ball past Karasuno's blockers.
"Yeah, he's been working on it for a while with Yahaba. They usually stay late after practice."
Mizoguchi comments, and I shake my head.
"That's not all they stay late for."
Thankfully, Kindaichi scores a point during our convo, preventing me from receiving a scolding from either of the intimidating coaches. The game continues to get more intense, until Kyōtani misses a spike. Mizoguchi angrily rises from the bench, yelling at the second year for his irrational miss.
"A spike only feels good when it's intent is to land the kill."
The boy philosophically answers, which leads to a smack on the head from Iwaizumi.
"Get back into the zone, yeah? We have a game to win."
The boy demands, and the second year groans, but faces the court, determined to help us secure this win.

Issei winks at me as they score their twentieth point and claim the set, Kyōtani managing to score a service ace.
"Yes! there we go, one set until finals!"
I yell, hyping up the players with a grin on my face. Makki and Issei grin, snatching their waters from my hands before listening intently to Irihata.
"Listen, this is our chance. All we gotta do is serve strongly, limit Hinata's ballplay, and keep intimidating them with our blocks."
The man calmly states, and the team agrees before dispersing. Issei walks over to me, handing me the now empty bottle with a grin on his face.
"I'll win for you, got it?"
He whispers and I nod, a smile on my face as I sit next to Mizoguchi. The coach gives me a look of disgust, but shakes his head before watching the game. I chug my water as the game heats up, watching as Kyōtani finally hits his breaking point.
"Well, at least we got a set out of him."
I bluntly state, the assistant coach nodding.
"We have to take him out, he's not focused. Y/N, go tell Kunumi he's back in."
Irihata answers and I nod, skipping over to my favorite first year.
"Bestie, I hate to tell you this, but you're in! Go tell Kyō he's out, I'll keep you in my prayers."
The poor first year pales at my words, but takes the sign from my hands. Akira walks over to Kyōtani and I watch anxiously as the second year shoves MY child aside.
"Oh, hell no!"
Before I can beat up the fake blonde, Yahaba does my job for me, pushing his boy into a padded well. The team intensely glares at the duo, all watching their lovers quarrel unfold.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"So, what did Yahaba do, promise him dick? He's gotta be the top."
I remark as Seijoh finally hits their stride, earning harsh looks from both coaches.
"Sorry, I meant to say go team!"
Both coaches simply roll their eyes at me, focusing back on the game, which is only getting more stressful. Both Issei and Yahaba are rotated in and I lean forward, knowing our best six are out on the court. The rallies continue and I find our team at match point. With a smile on my face, I sit back, knowing nationals is calling our name, after all.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
"Kawa!"
I yell in shock, the crowd around me all watching as the Great King falls off his golden throne, colliding with a set of chairs. The white volleyball flies through the sky, Iwaizumi's spike immediately being picked up by the other team. Desperately, the setter runs towards the court, Hinata doing the same on the opposite side of the net. The small redhead spikes the ball, the object flying off of Kindaichi's hand.
"Shit."
Oikawa awkwardly runs, diving towards the ball, trying to get at least one last hit in. The small volleyball falls and time stops, the entire gym silent. Karasuno's bench begins to celebrate, while our team sits in silence. How did we lose?
A/N: Not to be dramatic or anything, but writing this particular chapter was pretty hard, since I LOVE Seijoh and seeing them lose against Karasuno actually broke my heart when I watched Haikyuu the first time. I hope that you liked my spin on the game, however, and continue to read the story!
I will probably update by Monday, since I do not have too much homework this weekend, and I will re-upload my Konoha x Reader book this weekend as well, since I have reworked the plot to a point that I'm satisfied with! The new book will be under the title Acquainted, and is now on my page!
I hope you all enjoy this story, and don't forget to comment and vote!
