Warning: Mentions of drinking, sus behavior

My parents and I managed to secure front row seats at graduation, and I grin up at my best friends. Oikawa makes eye contact with me, giving me a thumbs up.

"There's so many side characters here."

I mutter, earning a slap on the head from my mother.

"Be nice, Y/N. They have ears, you know."

The dark-skinned woman reminds me, and I roll my eyes.

"I would hope so, seeing the way they're staring at me. It's getting on my nerves."

I snap, wondering how the woman can be so unbothered by the judgemental stares harshly piercing our backs.

"Ignore it, Y/N. They're just jealous of your beauty."

The stubborn woman says truthfully, and I look up at the stage to see Issei staring at me like I'm his next meal.

"You're fucking sexy."

He mouths to me, as if reading the doubts swimming through my mind. His words bring a small smile to my face and I focus on the ceremony, paying no attention to the staring. If they want to stare, I won't stop them.

"I'm so proud!"

Makki's father  screams, a rare moment of affection occuring between the two as the man hugs his son. After a few minutes, my older brother lets go of his dad to hug my mom and I, a giant grin on his face.

"You did it! I knew you would!"

The kind woman states, a big smile on her face as she eyes his cap and gown.

"Yup, thanks to you guys! I don't know what I would've done without your support."

He says kindly, and I pretend to wipe a tear away from my face.

"Who knew you could be such an inspirational speaker."

I joke, scowling when my stupid brother attempts to mess up my curls. He laughs at the angry look on my face, then pulls me in for an awkward side hug.

"Way to ruin a moment, Y/N."

Makki jokes and I shrug, pretending to wipe a fake tear from my eye.

"Chill, it's not that deep. I'm still super proud of you, you know?"

I state, Makki grinning at my simple statement. The two of us hug each other briefly, then I pull back.

"How about we go and find our friends, yeah?"

My brother wisely suggests and I nod, the two of us glancing around the crowd for the other third years. Eventually, the two of us spot them and leave our parents behind, running towards our best friends.

Issei kisses my lips, spinning me around and ignoring the complaints of his friends. Eventually, his lips detach from mine, the big grin on his face making me smile.

"Baby, you did it!"

I say to him once he lets go, hugging the other third-years before returning to his arms.
