Dream Walker

Cantatis's POV
I fell asleep easily somehow. I guess I hadn't been in a secure environment in a long time. But as I started to dream I felt off. Someone was with me. Not physically, but someone was in my head, I could hear their thoughts, vaguely. And all of a sudden I was somewhere else.
It was dark, and wherever I was had a musty smell to it. This wasn't a normal dream, someone wanted me here, but I didn't know who or why.
"Cantatis." A chilling voice said, "so nice to meet you."
"Who, who are you?" I asked. Someone was dream-walking.
"My name is Slade. And I see you have joined the Titans." He said.
"So?" I said incredulously. Normally I could pull myself out of dreams, but this man held me here.
"You could do so much better. Be so much more. You could take over the world." Slade said.
"Why would I do that? Then I'd be the bad guy." I said.
"No, you would be a ruler." Slade said.
"Look, I'm not one to do another's dirty work, so back off." I half shouted.
I was sick of this guy. He wasn't giving me the whole truth. It was time to get in his head. As I zoned out and into his mind I got scared. Very scared. His mind was horrible. And the things he thought about next were not good. He imagined torturing me, and since I was now in his head, all of the things he was doing were actually happening to me. I screamed out, trying to pull myself out of his head.
"Let me out!" I yelled. The pain he was causing was unbearable, "stop!"
"You're very entertaining, child." He hissed.
"No!" I screamed in pain as his methods of torture had no end. I needed someone to come wake me up. Focusing as much as I could I spoke in my friends' minds.
"Help! Someone wake me up!"
"Dear girl, they don't care about you." Slade said.
"You're wrong. You just want to Psych me out! Well you can't psych out a psychic!" I yelled at him.
"Please someone get me out! " I begged in my mind. Someone will be here any moment. And I was right.
Cyborg had shaken me awake, and all the other Titans were now in the room.
"What happened?" Starfire asked.
"Are you okay?" Beast boy said concerned.
"I-who's Slade?" I said, unsure what else to say.
"Slade?" Robin said furiously.
Robin's POV
"I-who's Slade?" Tati asked.
"Slade?" I said furiously. This couldn't be happening. No, Slade was gone. But maybe he wasn't. He must be back.
"Yes, he's a dream walker, or a phantom, he was in my dream with me. He talked to me, tortured me." Tati said timidly.
"Slade was destroyed." I said.
"Then someone brought him back." Tati responded, "but nobody has told me who he is exactly."
"He's a very dangerous criminal. He was our arch nemesis, you could say." Raven answered, surprising everybody.
"What would he want with me?" Tati asked confused.
"A new apprentice." I said weakly. "I was his apprentice once, and our friend Terra. He manipulated her, and now she's gone."
"Oh, you must not go with him!" Starfire yelped.
"I won't Starfire." Tati said, "I'm not a hero, but I'm not a villain."
I decided Tati needed to know everything about Slade, so the other Titans and I launched into telling our experiences with him.
"Wait, your friend Terra is alive, but doesn't remember anything?" Tati asked.
"Yeah." I answered.
"I could probably bring her back, but it sounds like she's blocking the memories herself." Tati said.
"She's happy now, don't bring her back." Beast Boy said sadly.
"Ok, everyone just go back to bed, we'll, uh, figure this out in the morning." I said. Everyone dispersed back to their own bedrooms.
