(Y/n POV)
"Y/n-san, about yesterday... You've said something about the so-called beginning of the end. Would you elaborate it for me?" Assistant-chan said.
"Well, I'm single right now, right? Wouldn't that already ring a bell for you?" I said to her.
"Ahh... I'm sorry, Y/n-san. I'm sorry for asking you all about this... " She said, realizing that I'm literally retelling her my past memories, good or bad.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't have told you all of this if I wasn't comfortable telling it. My relationship with Eli is a thing of the past now. Besides, it's not like me and Eli are gonna meet anytime soon. Also, I'm pretty sure we've moved on from it. Sure, I never forgot but forgetting is different from moving on. My memories with Eli is something I can never forget as it was with her that I experienced that happiest but also the saddest days of my life. If I keep on letting these memories affect me, I wouldn't be here today. I'd just be a lonely, sad, and depressed guy that can't let go of something that happened years ago. I wish Eli the best and for her to live her life happily." I said to Assistant-chan, not realizing what I said was a mouthful.
"Y/n-san... Is there any chance you still love her?" She asked, surprising me.
"Wh- where did that question come from?" I asked.
"If somehow she shows up right here at the shop and she says she still loves you and she wants to go back to the old times, the times you guys were still a couple. Would you accept? Or is it too much for you to go back in a relationship with her again." She said, putting me in the hot seat.
"Well... Of course, I will. I still love her after all these years... I- It's a lie if I say that I don't love her anymore. She's my first and only love. As they say, first love never dies."
"I thought you've moved on already?"
"Yes, the pain is gone... The memories, kept in the past, not interfering with the present and future. But the feelings remained." I said to her.
"You're holding on, Y/n-san. I thought you'd break down and cry but you didn't!"
"Of course, I did the crying years ago. Now, would you mind listening to why it was the beginning of the end?"
"You're gonna tell it? Yay!"
"Alright, listen up!"
~Flashback~
Me and Mu's went near the beach. We are going to Nishikino-san's beach house cause they're apparently rich. I just tagged along cause why not? This trip is supposed to break the barrier of their age gap. It was also said that they should stop calling the upperclassmen with honorifics.
"No referring to everybody with honorifics in the rest of the trip." Eli said to them.
"Ahh, what about me, Ayase-senpai? I'm not part of the idol group after all." I said followed by a light chuckle.
"Figure that out for yourself, L/n-san." Ayase- I mean, Eli said.
"May I ask why is Y/n here?" Maki said. Already following the rules, I see.
"Ah, Nishikino-san, I'm surprised you called me by my first name, I thought you wouldn't do that. I'm not a Mu's member after all." I said to them.
"Well, what would you like to be called, Y/n?" Honoka said.
"Y/n-san or Y/n-senpai is enough. I don't want to be a killjoy or anything but again, I'm not a member of the group, I'm just a spectator. To why I am also here is that because Nozomi and Eli invited me. They said you were ok with it, I could leave if you want." I said to her.
