(Y/n POV)

"So... Elicchi, how come you're the one with Y/n here?" Nozomi asked. So Nozomi still calls her that...

~Flashback~

(Eli POV)

I went to the mall to buy some stuff. Currently, I'm here at the supermarket checking out the chocolates available. I picked the stuff I wanted but as I exited, I saw someone, someone so familiar...

I was about to walk to him and why? I actually don't know... To see him after all these years. I don't think my heart could handle it. I- Is it ok to call his attention? What if someone's waiting for him? I don't wa-

Suddenly, he fell down and collapsed on the floor. I suddenly went near him and made him lie down, head up.

"Y- Y/n!" I said with a lot of people looking at us. The medic team came quickly, putting him in a stretcher. I followed them to the ambulance and I was asked by one of the medics.

"Ma'am, do you know the guy? You can come with us if you want to." He asked.

'Yes! I'd like to go to the hospital." I said.

'Alright, go inside the ambulance now." He said as he went to the driver's seat. I followed suit and went inside the back of the ambulance where another medic was there with Y/n. The driver started to drive as we made our journey to the hospital.

"So, what's your relationship with him, ma'am?" The other medic asked, which made me nervous. What should I say?

Strangers? I can't, because why would I even be here if I didn't know him.

Acquaintances? Wouldn't this be too close to just be acquaintances?

Friends? Yeah, I think this should do.

"I'm his girlfriend-" Crap! What did I just say?

"Oh, I see. How long have you guys been together?" The medic said. I didn't blurt out a word, I already didn't know what to say.

"Ah, i'm sorry for asking." The medic continued. She must have noticed that I got nervous.

"Well... To tell you the truth, I'm not his girlfriend. I'm his ex-girlfriend..." I said.

"Ahh, is it by mere coincidence that you two were both at the mall?" She asked.

"Yes, I was actually surprised that I saw him there." I said.

We reached the hospital and he was suddenly admitted to a room.

I went to the cafeteria and bought a bottle of water. As I was about to go back in his room, I saw Maki- or should I say Dr. Nishikino.

"So, why are you with him?" She asked me sternly. After the breakup of me and Y/n, Maki was one of the most angry of Y/n about it.

"It was a coincidence. I can't just leave a passed out guy alone." I explained.

"And come with him here at the hospital? Yeah, I don't think so." She said.

"I... I can ex-"

"No need for explanations. I can see right through. Well, I'm gonna go now. I still have other patients to watch over. Say my greetings for him, will you?" Maki said as she left as I went inside his room.

"I never knew I had a girlfriend while I was unconscious even if it were just for a few seconds." I said as I laughed.
