(Y/n POV)

“Y/n-san! Tell me about Eli-san already!!!” Assistant-chan said while pleading.

“Why should I? I’m pretty sure that the things I told you yesterday are already enough.” I said to her.

“No, it isn’t!”

“Fine, do you really want to know about Eli that bad?”

‘Yes!” Sigh, there really is no point of hiding.

“This story is a secret between us, ok?” I said to her really hoping this story gets to no one.

“Yup, as long as you tell me!”

“Alright, I may or may not have had a relationship with Eli back then… There, I finally said it.” I said to her. Assistant-chan had her mouth opened and her eyes widened. I mean, who would expect that a stuck up guy like me would date someone so beautiful, so caring- I’m getting carried away by my thoughts now…

“Are you for real, Y/n-san?!” Assistant-chan shouted.

“Yes, too hard for you to believe?”

“Yeah…”

“Is this perhaps a personal attack?” I said as I chuckled.

“No, I didn’t mean it like that. If I meant it, I’d lose my job.”

“Nice point.”

“Could you tell me how your relationship with Eli-san started, Y/n-san?” Wow, she really wants more.

~flashback~

“My answer is… sure, I’d like to go out on a date with you.” Eli said blushing but with her remark, I was also left blushing.

“I- is Saturday fine with you? I’m busy on weekdays…” She continued.

“Sure, are you fine meeting at the mall?” I asked nervously.

“Yup, we already have each other's numbers because of that one group project. We could talk about it more in detail in text.” Eli said.

“Sure! I- I need to go now, I still have to help my parents with our newly opened shop…” I said as I walked away and waved farewell to Nozomi and Eli.

~Saturday~

Saturday came and boy am I so excited. I already ate lunch as me and Eli decided to meet after lunch. I took a bath, got dressed up, and readied myself.

“You grow up so fast, Y/n.” My mom said patting me on the shoulder.

“Mom, we’re not in a relationship.” I said to her.

“But you like her, right?” I got checkmated.

“Y- yes…” I said shyly.

“Are you perhaps nervous? It’s my first time seeing you get so nervous.” Mom said, which was true, I am nervous.

“Well, I know nothing about dates and romance and all that stuff.”

“You know Charles Buxton once said: ‘In life, as in chess, forethought wins.’ He means that in life, like chess, you always need to have plans and precautions.” Mom said.

“Mom, I’m a chess player that knows that quote. Where does this all relate to my situation?”

“If you have a plan on how your date with Eli will go- Eli, that’s her name, right? It means everything will be fine.” I gave some thought about what mom said and she’s right, I already have a plan on how our date will go so this should have no problems.
