Chapter 6

(Y/n POV)

"Assistant-chan! Good news, we aren't opening the shop today." I said to her.

"How is that good, Y/n-san?" She asked.

"No interruptions for story time! We also have a guest later." I said.

"Is it your parents, Y/n-san?"

"No, but I know that you know this person. I won't tell who this person is but stay curious." I said to her.

"Fine... So are you gonna continue your story now?"

"Yup, but before that... Here, take this. I found it inside of the closet, you can keep it." I said as I handed her an old Mu's poster.

"Are you sure, Y/n-san?!" She said in disbelief.

"Yeah, be sure to take care of it though." I said to her as she nodded.

"So are you gonna tell the story now?!" She said excitedly.

"Yup! So, listen up cause this will be a rollercoaster of emotions." I said to her.

~Flashback~

And as you know it, Otonokizaka survived. The school didn't close down because of Mu's. A new school year is approaching and Honoka succeeded Eli as the student council president. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for them but... Mu's are practicing for Love Live, a competition of school idols. The thing is, I thought this group was only for them to save the school? Why did they take this path and became more ambitious? I know they can do this, they're great after all. I'm very happy for them and their achievements but something feels wrong, as I said.

Today, me and Eli are supposed to go on a date. I'm here at a cafe. I already have a table reserved for us and I also bought her chocolate as she loves them.

Suddenly, I got a call. I took my phone out of my pocket and read who was calling, it was Eli.

"Hello! I'm already here at the cafe. Where are you?" I said that to her through the call.

"Y/n, I'm sorry." Huh? Why is she apologizing?

"I- I can't go with you today... We have practice for Love Live today and it went over my head... I'll make it up to you next time." Eli said.

"Oh... I see... It's fine. Have fun practicing." I said to her.

"Again, I'm sorry. I love you." She responded.

"I love you too..." I said as I ended the call.

I stood up and exited the cafe. This is the first time this happened... Would this be the normal occurrence now? I'm scared...

Today is the monthsary of me and Eli. Every month we would go on a very special date as it is the day that we started dating. I'm here at our usual meet-up spot. I bought her a bouquet of flowers today. I hope she likes it.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I took my phone out of my pocket and it was Eli.

"Hello?" I said to her as I accepted the call.

"I can't meet you today. The competition is close so we need to practice harder."

"But, Eli... We always go out this day of the month..." I said to her.

"I know but... I just- It's for the competition. I hope you understand." She said.

"I- Fine..." I said, with a clear tone of disappointment in my voice.
