SIDON'S POV

"Sidon! Please come here a moment," my father, King Dorephan, ruler of Zora's Domain, asked. I had been gazing at the statue of my older sister, Mipha, who had passed on a long time ago (a century, infact) - yet I had only been a child, so I do not remember her.

"Yes, Father?"

"That man-beast... that Lynel, has been even more of a terror lately. With all of the rain, it is harder to fight it," he began. I nodded. "Would you mind sending a letter to Y/N?"

Y/N and I have known each other for years, but we haven't seen each other for a while. She may not even accept the request.

I nodded, and left to go my to my room. Once I was there, I pulled out a sheet of paper, and a quill.

"'Hey, Y/N?' No. 'Yo, N/N.?' Absolutely not. 'Dear Y/N?' Perfect," I murmured to myself, and began to write.

YOUR POV

"Y/N, you have a letter! Looks like it's from someone important," your mother yelled. You threw on a jacket, then ran down the stairs to collect your letter. Muttering a 'thanks', you ran back to your room. You opened the letter and began to read it.

Dear Y/N,

How are you doing? It has been quite a long time since we have last seen each other, hasn't it? It feels like it's been forever, to be honest.

I was actually hoping to ask you a favour. I apologise if I appear selfish for this. Not talking to you for months and then asking you to do something for me! This is not my intention, however, my father suggested we have someone strong for this task.

As you know, there is a terribly terrifying man-beast atop Ploymus Mountain. A Lynel. I would never ask this of anyone if I wasn't confident in their abilities, but I believe in you! Would you mind defeating it? This may be too much of an ask, and I understand.

If you do, it would be quite wonderful to see you and catch up with you again.

You rolled the letter back up, and carefully placed it into your pocket.

You smiled, readying yourself for the journey ahead and grabbed a spare backpack, throwing anything that you would need into it.

"Y/N? What was the letter about?" your mother asked. Your smile grew wider.

"Sidon invited me to go to Zora's Domain!" you exclaimed, throwing your hands in the air. Your mother nodded, kissed your forehead, and you happily dashed down the stairs. You grabbed your (w/o/c) and left the house, making sure you closed the door. It was quite chilly, and you didn't want anyone to catch a cold.

After a day or two, you arrived at Zora's Domain, only to notice that the once dormant shrine was glowing a bright orange, like a sunshroom. You shrugged it off, thinking that someone had just added lights to it, and headed up the staircase to the throne room.

Your vision was blurred by the heavy rainfall, yet luckily the throne room was sheltered.

"King Dorephan, it has been such a long time," you said, making sure to kneel, as you were in the presence of royalty. Muzu, who you hadn't noticed at first, muttered a few words. The only ones you could make out were 'silly... Hylian... distraction... Sidon.' You mentally rolled your eyes.
