     Just Us
"I'd love to meet your family, Gohan. I'll be right over." Gohan invited me over to meet his family. Was I nervous? That's an understatement. My body quaked anxiously at the thought. I love him, bit what if his family doesn't love me? It's too late to change my mind anyways.

"Great, I can't wait to meet your parents." He left. Myheart dropped. I'll have to tell him. No matter how much it hurts to even think a bout it. Tears filled my eyes but I blinked then away.

His home was a dome shape in the middle of the woods. How is such a classy person raised here? "Melisa! You made it. I was starting to worry you wouldn't make it. It's a busy day, everyone is out. Just like the day we met." He declared, raising my hands and kissing each of them. "Every moment I'm away from you is unbearable. I love you."

"I love you too, Gohan. I've missed you."

We entered his vacant house, leaving the stunning view of the fresh outdoors. "Where is your family?" I thought that was why he invited me over. This petite, practical household was vacant.

"My little brother, Goten, is at his friend's house. My dad left to pick him up. My mom left to get done groceries. I stayed to catch some fish for dinner." He gestured out the window at a massive fish. "See?"

"You caught that? You must own a huge fishing pole." He laughed.

"You're really cute. Actually, I caught the thing with my own hands. I'm a saiyan, remember?"

     "Oh yeah." I giggled.

The spiky haired boy tiredly plopped into a chair with an exhausted sigh. I caught his gaze and an arm invited me in next to him.

"You're really  beautiful. Have I told you that enough? Because you truly are. I ashtrays find myself mesmerized by your short jet black hair. Your gentle voice is soft enough to put a child to sleep. And those luminous brown orbs. They can end a man."

My head shook back and forth. "No no. Stop." I snickered.

"Your not used to this are you?" I shook my head again, this time shyly. "That's a shock. Such a brilliant young girl should be used to such  treatment." My cheeks burned in embarrassment. All I could manage to get out was a timid laugh.

"You're too much, Gohan, really. I don't deserve such an incredible guy."

"No, I don't deserve such an incredible woman." His lips found their way to my forehead, then my nose, then my cheek...

"Wait." His eyes looked up at me, confused. "I want our first kiss to be somewhere else. At a special time. So we can cherish the moment."

A wide grin appeared on his face. "I understand completely. I think that would be amazing."

Until his family arrived, Gohan and I cuddled up next to the window. Light shines through the window. The whole room was as pale yellow as my sweater.
