Preparation
It still terrified me. Just the thought of going down that isle, my life being tied to another. But at the same time, I've never felt more fulfilled and safe in my entire existence.
Boisterous stomps came from the end of the hall, louder with each step.
Oh dear...
"Heeeerre!" My future mother-in-law chanted, her hands occupied by her 10 pound makeup bag. Behind her was Bulma with the dress, 18 with the accessories, and Lynn with quite a peculiar bag.
I groaned and plopped back down on my pillow. Footseps approached me and a flash of light erupted from the window.
"Ugh, what the hell guys."
"Come on, Melisa. Its your big day! You've got to get ready early." Bulma explained to me, taking the dress out of the plastic case.
Chi Chi rushed up to me and whipped of my sheets, revealing my almost naked body.
"Chi Chi!! What are you doing?!" I tried to cover myself. Don't blame me for being almost nude, it was blistering hot last night. But I cant help but wear a blanket.
"Come on! Its time to shower, then we'll get the dress on, and then the makeup, then make sure you have something, old, new, borrowed, and blue, and practice your vows, and practice your wak down the isle, and practice your laugh-"
"Practice my laugh? Oh come on, when do I get to have a meal?"
"After the ceremony." She said matter of factly.
My eyes bulged out of my head. "But, that's hours from now."
"You'll have plenty of chances to eat again, you wont have chances to have a perfect wedding day though."
Ugh. This is going to be a long morning.

"Stop moving, hey don't look yet!" Bulma demanded of me.
"Sorry, starving over here."
"I just... need... one... more... Done! 18, Lynn, put on the final touches."
"Something old." Said Chi Chi as she adjusted the slightly yellow tinted pearls.
Bulma evened out the dress. "Something new."
Lynn put flowers in my hair and 18 put on my earrings and Lynn pulled out a blue garter from her bag to wrap around my thigh. "Something blue." She winked. Chi Chi froze in place.
"AHHH!" My soon to be mother-in-law screeched.
"What?! What happened?" I called to her.
Her breathing quickened. "I can't... Believe it. I don't have something borrowed. I can't find something borrowed to go with this dress in such little time." The pure horror over her face terrified me.
Lynn popped up. " We have a little more time. We can do this!"
I smiled and got up to, but then my intricately done up do collapsed. "Yeah! Oh..." To this Chi Chi shrieked once again. "No no no, it's fine. We just need to hurry. Let's get going!"
The girls trailed behind me as I dashed out of the room.
