I came by his house everyday since then. There was this odd sensation. I just felt pulled to him. My lips that is. Gohan. He's such a tease. Recently, he's been leaning in. So, so close to my lips. He'd let out a soft sigh with a crooked grin. Then out of what seemed like nowhere, he'd rise up and kids my nose or forehead or cheek. I give him that annoyed look and he'd just laugh. Seeing me pout would make him lean in, wrap his strong arms around my legs, and whisper in my ear, "Soon, I promise." Right, I'd think, right.
     "Melisa? What are you thinking about?" Chi Chi asked me. My head snapped up. I would typically stay at this house to talk with the family. But Gohan had been training with his little brother and father. She and I were alone. "Is something on your mind?"
     "I uh. No, nothing."
     That's when she gave me this weird smirk. "Are you sure. Come on, Melisa, it's only to two of us. Just us two woman. Alone. Here."
     "W-where is this going?"
     "You and Gohan are getting pretty serious, aren't you?"
     "Well yes, I'm his girlfriend after all."
     "Oh I know it's more than that, honey."
     More than that? "What does that mean?"
     "I wasn't too far off your and when I married Goku. I remember it like it was yesterday." And she told me when she meet him, every moment she had with him, what she thought of him then, what she thought of him now, their wedding, having children, responsibilities, what he could improve on, like my goodness! I don't need your life story!
     "Well uh, this was a nice talk."
     "Wait, you haven't told me about the two of you. How's it going?"
     "Um well. Gohan is the sweetest, most handsome-"
     "Okay enough of that," My throat was as dry as the Sahara desert. I reached for the glass of water in front of me and took a sip. "When's the wedding?"
     Water sprayed out of my mouth onto the table. "Well?"
     "CHI CHI. I. UM."
     "What? Has he not proposed yet?"
     I shook my head very hard while choking on water.
     "That's odd. The ring has been in his room on his drawer for so long."
     "What ring?"
     "Well I bought him a ring to propose to you with."
     "Did he ever say he was going to?"
     "Not until I mentioned it. He said, 'when the time is right.' I thought the time happened already."
This woman is crazy. She bought him the ring when he want even planning on proposing. How insane!
     "Well when you do get married, will you have kids?"
     "Chi Chi!"
     "What? I want some grandchildren. Besides it wouldn't hurt so bad, you've got those child bearing hips."
     I had to leave. My cheeks were burning scarlet red. "Wait! You didn't answer me!"
     Outside I ran into Gohan. "Gohan?"
     "Oh hey! I've missed you." His arms wrapped around and squeezed me. "Hang on, I'll get my backpack."
     "No no, I'll grab it for you." I zoomed past Chi Chi, Goku, and Goten to his room to grab it. I looked around. That's odd, I don't see a ring anywhere. She must've made out up."
     I skipped back outside and handed him the backpack. "Thanks." He kissed my forehead, longer than usual. "This is going to be special. I promise."
