Anubhav's Trust On Shalini

Karishma: Oo Buaji, ka? Khade khade soo gayi ka aap?

Shalini: (startled) Haan...ye ye kahan? Haseena gayi nahi abhi tak? Thappad ke baad bhi....

Karishma: Thappad? Ama...kaun sa thappad kaisa thappad? Aap bhari dopahar mein bhi sapne dekhti hain ka buaji?

Shalini: Tu...tu chup reh...Ohh Haseena, kya haan kya? Nikal yahan se jaldi se...teri koi jagah nahi hai, na Anu ke ghar mein aur na hi uske dil mein.

Haseena: Anu, kya aap sach mein chahte hain ki ham chale jaayein? Anu hamne...hamne agni ke chaaron or saat phere liye the...ye ye (points towards her mangalsutra) magalsutra ham aapke naam ka pehente hain....aur aap sach mein...

(Anubhav was troubled by his overwhelming emotions. At once, he just wanted to hug his wife and shout at the top of his lungs that he will never let her go, no matter what. But, she had harmed his dear mother. How could he in his sane mind ever do that?)

I sensed his silence as his order for me to leave. I didn't want to, but today it was the question on my self respect. I had been nothing but a dutiful and loving wife all along. But  seems like for him  I was nothing but a toy which whenever he wants, he will love and whenever he wants, he will break and throw it away. 

Haseena: Jahan aapko pyaar na mile, ek pal ke liye wahan raha ja sakta hai, lekin jahan koi aap pe yakeen na kare, aapki izzat na kare, wahan rehna sahi nahi hai.

(Haseena turns to go when Anubhav stops her holding her arms.)

Shalini: (in a lower voice) Shayad mera sapna sach ho raha hai, kya pata divorce ke liye bol de...aur baad mein main apna kaam Anu se karwa sakun...

Anu: Apna saara samaan lekar nikal jaayega....

Shalini: (in mind) Nahi, theek hai ye bhi achha hi hai, baaki divorce ke liye  toh main kabhi bhi Anu ko bhadka sakti hun.

Haseena: (wiping her tears) Bye Karishma Singh....

Karishma: (tears flowing non stop from her eyes) Bhabhi nahi...please aap ruk jaaiye, ham Anu bhaiya ko manayenge. Aap...aap mat jaiye.

Haseena: Hamara nanad bhabhi ka saath shayad yahi tak tha, Karishma Singh...(smiles and hugs her) Bye.

(Haseena leaves and Anubhav didn't even turn to look at her. Not because, he was angry...but because he wouldn't  be able to stop himself. His heart knew he wanted nothing but her at the moment. But his mind was saying otherwise.)

Karishma: (to Shalini) Buaji...ye sab jo ho raha hai na, ham jaante hain sab aapki kartoot hai...ek baat bata dein aapko Bhaiya bhabhi ka toh pata nahi, lekin ham aapko kabhi maaf nahi karenge aapke iss kaand ke liye. Are, Anu bhaiya aapko itna maante hain aur aapne unse unki dhadkan hi cheen li? Ab dekhiyega kitni jaldi aapka sachhai ham sab ke saamne laakar rahenge. Ye na Karishma Singh ka waada hai, aur pura Lucknow jaanta hai ki Karishma Singh apne waada ka kitna pakki hai.

(Shalini eyes her in anger and disgust. But deep inside, she was afraid. Because she knew, if no one could go against her, Karishma surely could. She had promised to expose her, and now she had to be more careful, whatsoever.)

Two days later. 

There comes a time when you feel broken. Your mind gets trapped in conflicts. You feel sad, destroyed, devastated. The situation heightens and before you know it, your beloved one leaves you. Your mind is all clear and with one person. But, then it's your heart that makes it difficult. It shouts from both the sides. From that beloved as well as this one.

This was exactly what had happened to Anubhav. He was broken. He was broken of his wife's revenge. He didn't imagine the person whom he loved this much could do this. But, then his heart would shout, "Do you really think she did this?" Then his mind would say, "Have trust on your bua." He didn't know whom to trust now. He didn't know what to do, where to go. For the first time in his life, he felt directionless, only breathing but not living.
