Athena x Pallas

The sun reflected on the lake in front of Pallas as she sat on the cliffs of her home, lake Tritones. It was hypnotizing to watch. A little blinding, but if this was how she'd turn blind she didn't mind.

"You still out here?" A voice behind her asked.

The sound sent shivers down the young nymhp's spine. It was a voice she would recognize anywhere. Just as she would always recognize the one it belonged to.

"It would appear that way." Pallas replied with a smile.

Steps came closer. Arms wrapped around her shoulders and the head of a goddess suddenly rested on her right shoulder.

"Hello." The nymph said, meeting piercing grey eyes.

"Hi." The goddess replied.

For a moment both of them looked out towards the stunning view.

"She's worried you know." The grey eyed goddess spoke up.

"Who?"

"You're mother. She asked me if something was bothering you."

Pallas turned her eyes back to the woman, resting her head on her shoulder.

"What did you tell her?" She asked.

"I told her that I didn't know and that I figured you just liked to be left alone with your thoughts at the moment."

"And then she asked you to come check?" Pallas raised a brow.

"And then she asked me to come check." The goddess confirmed.

"I'm fine thanks. I was just enoying the view really."

"Mhmmm. In that case I'll leave you to it." She said, kissing the nymph's cheek and slowly retrieved her arms.

Almost soundless she turned around and started walking away. The only sound her long flowy dress bristling against the grass and her bracelets softly colliding.

"Athena?" Pallas called after her.

The goddess turned her head at the sound of her name.

"Yes?"

"Wait for me." The nymph smirked, getting up and catching up with her companion.

"Changed your mind?" Athena asked, tilting her head ever so sligtly.

"Scenery only stays beautiful for so long." Pallas replied.

"Debatable." The wisdom goddess replied.

"You make everything debatable."

Athena just raised her shoulders and winked as she took Pallas' hand.

"Let's go back, shall we?" She asked with a smile.

"Yes, but not that way."

"Darling, there is no other way." The goddess said, raising a skeptical brow.

"Sure there is." Pallas replied with a smirk.

She started walking towards the edge of the cliff and pulling Athena along. Right at the edge she stopped.

"Now what?" Athena asked, peaking over the edge to the crystal clear water quite a couple of feet below them.

"We jump."

"We what?!"

"Trust me." The nymph said and without another word she jumped, pulling a screaming Athena with her.

Their bodies disappeared into the crystal liquid. In the serenity of the underwater world they met once again, in the peace and quiet, moments before they broke back to the surface world. Both the goddess and the nymph gasped for air.

"You're unbelievable." Athena exclaimed.

"Oh please, you loved it." Pallas smirked as they started swimming towards the shore.

"You know what I would've loved more? A warning." The goddess muttered.

"Really? I thought you were going to say me." The nymph winked.

"And make your ego even bigger? No thanks." Her girlfriend joked.

All the while bickering and laughing the two stepped onto the shore. Soon enough they were met with Pallas' mother. She handed both women a towel so they could dry off.

"You just had to didn't you?" The mother asked her daughter.

"You have to make life interesting don't you? Especially an immortal life." Pallas raised her shoulders

Her mother shook her head, clearly having had this discussion before.

"You can't just pull an Olympian goddess off a cliff with you..."

"Don't worry Menalippe. I don't mind. As she said, it keeps things interesting." Athena smiled.

"If you say so dear, I just hope she'll remember her place once you have to leave again." Pallas' mother replied.

A moment later she turned around and disappeared. Both the goddess and the nymph were left speachless for a moment. They tended to forget Athena wouldn't stay here.

"Why does she always do that?" Pallas grumbled.

"Can't she see we're not just any nymph and Olympian? Why can't she understand that we're us?" She added.

"She just wants you to remember your etiquette when my father gets back here. You know how he gets with Xenia and all it's rules." Athena tried to explain.

"Yes, but still. She doesn't have to press our nose to that fact everytime she sees both of us." The nymph said, trowing the towel onto a stone.

Soon enough Pallas felt arms wrap around her waist and a kiss on her cheek.

"Stop worrying about it and just from time to time listen to her and you'll be fine." Athena's voice muttered in her ear.

"See you always say that, but it never works." The nymph chuckled.

"Probably because you never listen to what anyone tells you." The goddess teased in return.

She placed a kiss in Pallas' neck.

"Why are you surprised? Every time you tell me you're... Distracting me." She stated, leaning in the wisdom goddess' embrace.

"Says the woman in a soaked white dress." Was the ever quick reply.

Another kiss was planted on the nymph's neck. And another. And another. They sent a tickling sensation all the way down her spine.

"Mhmmm... Not here." Pallas managed to say.

"Why not?" The whisper in her ear asked.

"It's quite... Open... Mo-ther..."

The nymph's words got stuck in her throat as she felt the goddess' warm breath in her neck.

"Make a suggestion then." Athena said.

Pallas could practically hear her smirk. The goddess was enjoying this teasing far too much.

"How about somewhere private?" The nymph suggested.

"Somewhere private mhm? More specific please." The wisdom goddess hummed.

"How about I show you." Pallas said with a smirk.

She freed herself from Athena's hold, took her hand and pulled her along into the woods surrounding the lake.
