Please note that this is a Harry Potter crossover. If you don't know what that is, maybe move on to another chapter or go read HP first.

Athena x Minerva McGonagall

Athena had to admit, Britain wasn't usually her type of scene. But after plenty of decades in Olympus she could do with a change of scenery. Why not make it fun?

She walked across a huge bridge that lead to a magnificent castle. The goddess entered the castle through the large oak doors.

As soon as she had set one foot inside an older man with a cat on his shoulders invaded her personal space. He pressed his nose almost against hers.

"And who might you be?" He grunted as Athena took a step back.

"I'm the new substitude for-" She started explaining, but somone continued for her.

"You can let her go Filch, she's the new substitude teacher for muggle studies." A man said.

Filch grumled something incoherent and moved on as his cat hissed at the wisdom goddess.

"Athena right?" The man asked.

He had a long white beard and equally long white hair. He wore sweeping, red robes and glasses rested on his nose.

"Yes sir." Athena responded, taking his outstreched hand.

"Albus Dumbledore. We communicated." He smiled warmly.

The wisdom goddess nodded and returned the smile. They started walking through the halls of the castle.

"Now I understand you aren't from around here?" Dumbledore asked.

Again Athena nodded.

"I'm not. I'm from Greece actually."

"I see and you're a witch?"

"Well... Not exactly to be honest, but I assure you I can do everything your other teachers can do so you don't need to worry." Athena said.

"Right. Now I will warn you, I will have to test that statement. Not to show signs of distrust or anything, it's just a standard procedure." The headmaster said.

He had a curious and mischievous glint in his eyes. One that grew easily on Athena.

"Of course."

"In fact, let's get started with that right away." Dumbledore grinned.

He led her to a courtyard that seemed to be hidden behind the thick and tall walls of the castle.

There was only one other creature in the courtyard. A cat actually. When she layed eyes on it, Athena crouched down to pet the animal.

The cat kept her distance, eyeing the goddess. However Athena remained patient and stared right back at the cat. The cat seemed to decide it was okay and came closer accepting some strokes over her back and head.

Dumbledore seemed to have a hard time trying not to laugh, which did seem a bit odd to Athena.

After makimg sure the goddess could pretend being a witch Dumbledore seemed pleased.

"I do have a last question though." Dumbledore said.

"Which is?" Athena asked.

"Can you turn into animals?" The headmaster's eyes glinted with joy.

In an odd way he reminded the wisdom goddess of her brother Hermes. Both cunning and mischievous. Like they knew everything, but only shared what they wanted people to know. Except Hermes would use it for his own gain.

Athena doubted Albus Dumbledore was anything like that.

"Why don't I just show you." The daughter of Zeus smiled.

Without any warning whatsoever the wisdom goddess jumped up. In the blinked of an eye her body morphed in that of an owl and she flew up towards the towers of the castle. She soared over the rooftops and landed right in front of the headmater in human form.

"Impressive." He commented.

"I believe she has everything we're looking for, what do you think Minerva?"

Dumbledore looked at the cat. The cat morphed into a human and gave a tight, but genuine smile.

"I believe so too." Minerva McGonagall answered.

Athena had to keep her mouth from falling open. It was not that she was surprised this woman could turn into animals. It wasn't even the fact that this woman carried the name the romans gave her.

She swallowed as an undeniable blush krept onto her cheeks. She petted not just a cat, but the very woman that stood in front of her right now.

The wisdom goddess found herself discretely mouthing a prayer to Hades in order to let the ground swallow her whole. Either the god didn't feel like listening or he enjoyed her embaressment.

The latter was more likely.

Dear SunsetMahi

Your mind is a special place alright. I've never really thought of this one before. I'd always felt they we're too alike to even imagine together. But hey, I don't judge, I merely write. It was hard to come up with something that would make them cross paths. I liked the challenge though. How do you think I did? Enjoy your short!
