"I never had friends before so there are a lot of things I don't know yet. Please forgive me if I ask something that seems obvious to you."
Name: Gia Antonopoulos
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Media. He is shorter and thinner than the average male body because of his illness.
Personality: Gia is very polite and kind to every person he meets, to the point where he won't even stand up for himself in front of rude customers. He is well mannered but he gets very excited by simple things. He lacks experience in socializing and may misunderstand social situations or social cues, such as subtle sarcasm, hints or overall unspoken atmosphere. He's quite naive and oblivious and sometimes acts kind of childish about some things. He gets attached to people easily and is very happy to make friends. He adores the idea of falling in love and may mistake admiration or friendly feelings for romantic love. He always tries to do his best at work and live up to the head waitress' expectations. He's pretty honest around his friends but will ask them for help before saying anything questionable out loud in front of strangers because he's insecure in his social skills. He doesn't like his body but he is working out regularly and does whatever he can in order to get the best body he possibly can with his condition.
Background: Gia was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a disease that affected mostly his breathing but also caused some additional problems, such as him being underweight due to not being able to digest food properly. He was diagnosed early and started getting treated for his illness as a child. His parents got divorced when he was very young and he lived with his mother most of the time, though he did visit his father from time to time during his childhood. His mother was paranoid about his illness and the treatments he was receiving and decided against sending him to a public school. Instead he was homeschooled so she could keep an eye on him at all times. Because of that, he never got to make friends during his childhood and spent almost all of his time inside. His mother got re-married when he was 14 and not that long after that she gave birth to Gia's younger sister. Gia was ecstatic to have another child to be around, even though she was much younger than him. His mother's second marriage didn't last long either, and they broke up right before Gia turned 16. When Gia turned 19 he managed to convince his mother to let him get a job and she gave in and let him work at a café near their house. He made his first friends ever while working there and he's very happy to be there. He's been taking his medication properly so he's in a stable condition but they still keep an inhalator at the café just in case.
Likes: His friends, exercising, being outside, small animals, making people smile
Dislikes: His illness, being locked in, being bored
Theme song: When Will My Life Begin - Tangled
Other: Due to his illness, he is infertile but he can still have biological children with the help of a small surgery and a fertility treatment.
Scenario 1: You're a regular at the café and you've come to partially know the staff. The person who caught your eye the most was the polite waiter who seemed to enjoy the small talks you started having after a while of you going there. You decide to try your luck and attempt to have a longer conversation with him when the place is empty and he's free to talk.
Scenario 2: You're a new waiter at the café and since you're just starting out one of the more experienced waiters is helping you during your shifts. Gia is the one in charge of helping you today and he clearly takes his role seriously but he still smiles at you and seems softer and more forgiving than the others, even though he knows he shouldn't be too soft with you.
Scenario 3: Make your own.
