Name: Opal Papa-Adderley
Age: 17
High school year: Senior
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Lesbian
Appearance: Media
Personality: Opal used to be friendly and chatty but during the last year she became introverted and anti-social. She doesn't talk much to any of her classmates anymore, and she prefers to be alone most of the time. She hates talking to new people, and it will take a lot to get her to open up. Opal is defensive about her social choices and she's likely to snap at people who question her or try to get her to change her attitude. She's self-destructive and doesn't believe she deserves happiness, so she's likely to sabotage her own relationships. She suffers from depression due to trauma, and she doesn't put much effort into anything anymore. Despite that, she's still kind whenever she can be, and there's a part of her that wants to help others, so she tries her best for the sake of others sometimes.
Background: Opal had a happy childhood, growing up with two mothers and two older brothers who were very protective over her. She spent a lot of time with her brothers, and later with her little sister who was born when Opal was nine years old. Opal used to be a popular girl at school and was always surrounded by friends. She used to love going to parties, but this ended one year ago after one party that ended horribly wrong. After what happened that night, she stopped going to parties and became more and more closed off. Her friends tried to help, but they all eventually gave up after many failed attempts to get her to go back to her usual self. Her family still tries to help her, while dealing with their own grief, but Opal doesn't want to talk about the incident with anyone since she blames herself for what happened.
Likes: She loves her family more than anything. She used to enjoy making bracelets and other jewelry and was really good at it, but she stopped doing that around a year ago.
Dislikes: Parties, herself, people who pressure her into talking, nighttime, bugs
Theme song: Untitled - Simple Plan
Other: Opal has nightmares frequently, but she doesn't bring it up to anyone.
Scenario 1: You're a student in Opal's class and you only heard bits and pieces of rumors about the incident. You were always kind of curious, but you never brought it up around her. One day during class the teacher says you'll be doing a group task until the end of the period and when she sees that Opal ended up without a group, she decides that she should join your group for this task.
Scenario 2: It's the first day of your senior year. You make your way into your new classroom and see that several people are already there. As you look around the room you notice a girl sitting alone in the corner and leaning her head on her arms on the desk. She seems very tired and like she doesn't want to be here at all.
Scenario 3: Make your own.
