"What's the point looking at all the bad things? Let's just be happy with what we have!"

Name: Vika Levin

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Lesbian

Appearance: Media. She has a nose piercing, but she doesn't use nose rings all the time.

Personality: Vika is funny and cheerful. She makes a point of being optimistic all the time, even when the situation is seriously bad. She doesn't like to talk about upsetting things and uses escapism and distractions as her coping mechanisms. She's very creative and has a wide imagination, but sometimes to lacks the motivation or self-discipline to sit down and write her ideas down properly. Though she's not good with giving actual advice, she always tries to cheer her friends up when they're upset, either by doing funny things or getting them to do something fun to distract them from their problems temporarily. Sometimes her positivity seems forceful and inappropriate, but she prefers that over actually talking about problems or negative feelings. She doesn't like getting help from anyone, whether it's emotional support or help with some tasks, and she makes a point of being entirely independent. Though she likes being around people, she refuses to believe that she actually needs any of them around. Due to her wide imagination, she gets anxious often over potential scenarios, but she doesn't let anyone see her panic or get scared or sad.

Background: Vika is the oldest child in her family, and she has four younger sisters. Her mother was still in college when she had her, and she was forced to marry Vika's father. The two had another daughter when Vika was 5 years old. Vika's parents got divorced when Vika was 10 years old, and her mother started having different women as lovers until she settled down with one of the women a few years later. Vika's mother and new step-mother had 3 more daughters together, and as much as Vika tried to be a good step-daughter and sister, she couldn't bring herself to truly care for her step-mother or half-sisters. This led her to have a strained relationship with her whole family, including her mother and her first younger sister. Vika often used escapism and self-isolation as coping mechanisms after being emotionally neglected by her family, and eventually began creating her own fictional worlds in her mind. This led to her beginning to write stories and finding comfort in her own universes. She got into college and though she decided to major in a scientific subject, she signed up for creative writing classes in order to keep her creative passion alive, though it was difficult to maintain the motivation as she has gotten older. She started talking to her family less and less over the years but has not gathered up the courage to cut them off altogether, especially after her mother's recent divorce from Vika's step-mother.
