ch.4 // surprise visitor

Marinettes POV:

The day continued on but I could not get my mind off that kiss.

We finally get out of school and I meet up with Alya and the girls.

He called me dude. Who does that? Was it really that bad? I have always questioned would I never be enough for someone like Adrien, but there was never any evidence to fully confirm it...until today. He hated kissing me.

"Marinette are you ok?" Mylene asks me, "I can tell something is wrong."

"Yeah totally. Couldn't be better." I say with a thumbs up and a forced smile.

"So then you're ready to finalize your plan for Valentines day, right?" Alix says.

Shoot I forgot! I can't tell Adrien I like him on Valentines day after what just happened!

"Uh yeah about that. Maybe I just shouldn't do it. It would be too much and he would probably just reject me." I say with a laugh looking at the ground.

"Girl what do you mean? After last year you're really not gonna try again? You were so close, you just forgot to sign the card." Alya says trying to make me feel better.

"But after today..." I start to say but get cut off my Rose.

"You should be even more motivated to! You and Adrien playing Romeo and Juliet. It's so romantic. And that kiss ahh you guys were so cute!"

"Exactly Rose but the kiss WAS the problem, that's why there is no way I could confess to him now." I say sitting down on the playground bench. "He hated it. Why would I ever think I have a chance?"

"Thats not what I saw. He seemed like he really enjoyed the kiss." Juleka says sitting beside me.

"See girl, it's not just me. Adrien definitely liked kissing you!" Alya says sitting on the other side of me.

"Then why did he call me dude?" I ask.

"Maybe he was so shocked by the kiss he didn't know what to say!" Rose says with a positive attitude.

"Marinette you got this! Your plan is totally gonna work out." Alix says putting her hands out to help me stand up from my seat.

Maybe they are right. The kiss felt magical, and maybe Adrien felt it too!

"Your right girls! I will ask him out on Wednesday." I say going in for a group hug with my bffs.

I have to go home and work on some finishing touches since I only have one day left until I pop the question.

"I'll see you girls later." I say with a wave.

- At Marinette's House time pass -

"Look Tikki I finished!" I say holding up a small box.

"Marinette what is that supposed to be? Do all humans give each other small green boxes on Valentines day to show their affections?" My kwami asks looking at the present.

"No silly, the box is special when I open it up it has pictures of me and Adrien in it and another box inside. Inside the smaller box is a letter I wrote him explaining my feelings and ending with the big question. Then he will receive another real present, which I haven't fully decided on yet. And it's green because it's Adriens favorite color. What do you think?"

"I think it's very romantic and thoughtful Marinette. He will love it!"

"I hope he likes it. I've been in love with him ever since the day we met. He's all I can think about, always on my mind. He is smart, kind, handsome, and..."

"Hey Marinette. Who is this amazing guy you're talking about?" A voice says from my bed.

I look up and see Chat Noir climbing through my trap door and sitting criss-cross on my bed.

"Uh Chat there is this thing, and it's called knocking. Maybe you should try it sometime." I say putting Adriens present down. "How much of that did you hear?"

Chat Noir/Adrien's POV:

After school I decide too go see Marinette as Chat Noir to figure out what Nino was bailing about earlier. I decide to surprise her, I grab a pink rose and open her trap door.

"I hope he likes it. I've been in love with him ever since the day we met. " I hear Marinette say. Purrfect exactly what I was looking to find out. Now all I need is a name.

"He's all I can think about, always on my mind. He is smart, kind, handsome, and..."

"Hey Marinette. Who is this amazing guy you're talking about?" I decide to interrupt.

"Uh Chat there is this thing, and it's called knocking. Maybe you should try it sometime." she says putting a green box down on her desk. "How much of that did you hear?" she questions while climbing up to her bed.

"Just you calling some guy smart, kind, and handsome. Oh and that your in love with him. Who's the lucky guy?"  I say trying my best to annoy her.

"He's no one. Is that for me?'' she says looking at the rose.

"Oh yeah. I remember your dad saying that pink was your favorite color. It's a thank you for making me feel better last night." I say handing her the rose.

"Thank you. Maybe your not totally terrible."

"So this guy? Are you gonna tell me who he is?"

"No it's stupid anyways. I don't even know if he is gonna like me back. So it's not really worth mentioning." She says with a shrug.

"Well by the way you talk about him he sounds pretty special." I say climbing down her bed stairs. "Do you have something to eat?"

"He is special." She says following me. "And yeah I have cookies sitting in that jar on my desk." "I just have a hard time talking to him sometimes. I've tried to tell him how I feel like a billion time but it never actually comes out."

I can't figure out who she is talking about. I see her interact with everyone at school and none of them line up with what she is saying.

"Ya know what you helped me last night. Now it's my turn to help you."
