"The best part is knowing there's someone in my life, that makes it all worthwhile."

-

Adrien POV:

After school I went to get the rest of my presents for Ladybug. I need this Valentine's Day to be extra special. If all goes well, I might have myself a girlfriend by the end of it.

I had Gorilla drop me off at the flower store to grab a bouquet of light pink roses for Ladybug, I've tried red roses before but those never do me well. Light pink roses represent an innocent romantic love, perfect for my bugaboo.

Next we stopped at Tom and Sabine's bakery to get macaroons and chocolate covered  strawberries. I don't know what flavors she likes so I bought her three of every flavor they had.

Just as Ms. Dupain-Cheng was going to hand me my bag of desserts a voice comes through the door of their house.

"Mama, papa do you think Adri- oh hi Adrien, what are you doing here!?" Marinette says while squatting down to retrieve the small gift box she accidentally dropped off the floor.

"Here Marinette let me help." I squat down as we both reach for it. We knock heads as we look up at each other.

There they are again her pretty blue eyes. I could get lost in them, but-

"MARINETTE!" Alya says bursting through the bakery doors. "Oh hey Adrien," she says picking up the box off the floor and taking Marinette by the arm, walking to the opposite side of the bakery.

While they are talking, I grab my bag from Mrs. Sabine, and before I can leave Alya grabs my wrist.

"Adrien, I was supposed to help Marinette bake tonight to prepare for the Valentine's Day "rush" tomorrow. Do you think there is anyway you can help her instead?" Alya says with a smile.

"I actually made sure I had a clear schedule today and I finished all my errands early."  I say in response. I don't know how to bake, since I have had my chefs prepare all my food. But, I want to spend time with Marinette not as Chat for once.

"Great! Isn't that AMAZING MARI??!!" Alya says.

Marinette's POV:

I cannot believe Alya.

There is no "valentines day rush" we always have enough desserts. This is another one of her crazy schemes to get me and Adrien to have time alone together. They never work since Adrien is always so busy. But of course the night before Valentine's Day, when I'm already a nervous wreck, he is available.

"Yeah that's great!" I say with the most awkward smile ever. Trying to hide how pissed I am at Alya right now.

"Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng, have you guys ever though of updating your website...." Alya says taking both of my parents upstairs into the living room. Almost as if they planned this before hand.

Leaving me and Adrien alone.

"So," Adrien says walking into the kitchen grabbing an apron and the chef hat we have and putting them on. "How do I look?"

Adorable as always.

"Well for one thing, my dad's apron is WAY too big on you, and second I think that hat looks great, maybe you should wear it in your next photoshoot!" I say following it with a laugh.

I go into the supply closet and grab the two small sized aprons Alya and I normally wear when she comes over.

"Here try this one instead." I say throwing the apron over the counter, towards Adrien.

"You have quite the arm, do you play secret baseball?" he says a little shocked.

Being a superhero has its perks and one of them is keeping me in shape. Maybe more in shape than someone would expect the baker's daughter to be.

"Oh that haha. Uhm- I just really love doing push ups!" I say.

I know I didn't say I love doing push ups....

Adrien looks a little confused but laughs anyways.

I just realized how smooth and natural our conversations have been going. Ever since that kiss it's like something unlocked inside of me allowing me to talk to him.  Or maybe it was my talk with Chat... either way I'm proud of myself.

"Well anyways.. let's start baking!" I say meeting Adrien behind the counter.

"Yeah about that. I don't know how to bake." Adrien says taking his chef hat off.

"That's not a problem, neither can Alya." I say with a laugh. "It's just nice to have someone hang out with me, and you can't be any worse than her. Trust me." I take the chef hat out of his hands and put it back on his head.

Adrien POV:

"Trust me." Marinette says as she grabs the chef hat from my hands and puts it back on my head.

She looks up at me and smiles.

"Anyways, can you go grab some almond flour from over there." She points to the cabinets above the sink.

There's different types of flour?!

"Uh sure!" I open the cabinet and  there's all different types of bags! "Marinette which one is the almond flour?"

"Here let me get it." She says grabbing the flour bag with a pink circle on it. Noted.

"I'll get all the ingredients ready and you can stir. How does that sound?" she asks.

"Sounds good to me." I respond.

She takes her hair out of her pigtails and lets her hair down, so she can put it up in a high bun. She never wears her hair down, it looks nice, I wonder why.

And in the blink of an eye she has all the ingredients measured and put in their respective bowls.

"Your turn." She says opening the drawer and handing me a whisk. "Fold in the ingredients."

What does fold mean...

I put the whisk in the biggest bowl and start to move it in a circle motion.

"Adrien, do you want me to teach you how to fold the batter?" She says smiling up at me.

"Yes, I'm sorry I don't know how." I say looking at the ground.

"Don't be sorry, I'm glad to teach you. Here!"  she says putting her hand on top of mine, on the whisk. She moves my hand in a folding motion until I start to get the hang of it myself.

"See, you're better than Alya already! She got more batter on the outside of the bowl then in by the time she was done mixing it." She says leaning with her back against the counter.

"Like this?" I take my finger, put it in the batter, and wipe it on the tip of Marinette's nose.
