Chapter 25:Summer's Memory End

Yotsuba:"Ah, that was a lot of fun!"

Nino:"Shame we couldn't use most of the day."

Miku:"We did a lot today."

Everyone was leaving the beach area as the sun began to set. Ichika called Ebata to begin getting everything together to go back.

Fuutarou:"As embarrassing as the situation that got us here was, it turned out to be a fun trip."

Fuutarou turned to where he saw the vacant building.

Fuutarou:[Wonder what that was...Although knowing that guy, he probably made a bunch of enemies.]

Nino, walking with the rest, looked up to see the Bell of Happiness. Upon seeing it, she began to ponder before coming to a conclusion.

Nino:"Everyone come with me."

Itsuki:"Where to? The sun's already gone."

Yotsuba:"It's starting to get a little chilly."

Nino:"It's fine, it'll just take a couple minutes. Hurry it up!"

Everyone followed Nino to her desired location. Once they all got there, she pointed to the bell.

Nino:"I want us all to ring this bell."

Miku:"Sure, but why?"

Nino:"If all of us ring it, then we'll all be together, and you can't say no to fate!"

Fuutarou:"Fate?"

Itsuki:"I support this decision!"

Ichika:"...Very well."

Yotsuba:"Let's do it! Come on, Raiha-chan!"

Ichika, Nino, Yotsuba, Raiha and Itsuki were now under the bell.

Miku:"What would together mean in this case?"

Nino:"What else could it mean?"

Miku:"It's just...never mind, we'll join you."

Fuutarou looks behind him.

Fuutarou:"We?"

Miku:"Of course, you're joining us."

Nino:"And don't give us any excuses."

Fuutarou wanted to say something in return, but just decided to smile and take their offer.

Fuutarou:"Fine, although...let me take a picture of you guys."

As Fuutarou gets his phone out, Miku grabs his arm.

Miku:"This time, you're going to be in it too."

Fuutarou:"!?"

Everyone is now huddled around the bell, each of them holding a different part of the rope. Fuutarou finally gave in and pointed the camera towards him and the girls as they all posed for the camera. Once that was done, they all pulled on the bell. The sound could be heard all around the artificial island, as it heard the hopeful ring of a prosperous future.

*DING DONG*

{I wonder...I wonder if I was thinking about you there as well.}

...

Ichika:[Being together forever...]

Nino:[I never want us to split apart!]

Miku:[I want to be with you all, but...]

Yotsuba:[Let's never leave each other!]

Itsuki:[Mom would want us to stick together.]

...

Fuutarou feels a tiny drop on his forehead.

Fuutarou:"Was that...?"

Fuutarou's thoughts are cut off as a curtain of rain covers everyone under the bell.

Nino:"Where did this rain come from!?"

Ichika:"Looks like we lost track of time."

Miku:"Let's just get out of the rain."

Fuutarou:"When did it get so cold!?"

Fuutarou begins to cover Raiha.

Itsuki:"We are in the middle of the ocean."

Yotsuba:"I see Ebata!"

The crew got out of the pouring rain as quickly as they could. As they tried to cover against the cold, Ebata showed up in front of the closed store they were under with a change of clothes. The sisters and Raiha began to change in the back of the limo while Fuutarou changed in a public bathroom. Once everyone was ready, Ebata drove them out of the artificial island.

Fuutarou:"Why do things always turn out like this?"

Miku:"Maybe we're cursed."

Itsuki:"That's scary to think abo-Oh, thank you!"

Ebata had prepared hot drinks to help with the cold.

Ichika:"Our trip went and ended in a weird way."

Yotsuba:"We at least had fun while we were there."

Nino:"Hopefully the people still working won't have problems."

Itsuki:"Looks like those two we met got out at the perfect time."

Fuutarou:"Oh yeah, those weirdos."

...

Ebata:"We've reached your home, sir, madam."

Raiha:"Thank you!"

Fuutarou:"Thanks for the ride."

Fuutarou turns to the sisters.

Fuutarou:"Thanks, you girls. You went along with my selfish request. I had fun."

The girls simply smiled at Fuutarou's honesty. Fuutarou smiled back through his blush. The sisters said their goodbyes to Raiha as well before the two got off. They continued to wave as the limo went out of sight.

...

Raiha:"We're back!"

Fuutarou:"Dad's probably sleeping, it is pretty late."

Raiha:"We should do that again!"

Fuutarou:"Maybe we can go to a normal beach next time. Let's put everything away, then go to slee-*Achoo!*"

Raiha jumped as Fuutarou suddenly made such a loud noise.

Fuutarou:"...That can't be good."

...

The quintuplets, now alone in the limo, went over their thoughts of the day. Some saw the day as a great moment in their summer, while others could only remember the more somber parts of it and what it could mean in the future. Either way, it was a quiet ride back.
