Takes place a few weeks after the episode 'Hitler on the Half-Shell'

Henry Morgan looked down at the young man’s body lying on the metal table in the morgue. Only an hour before the body had been found and brought here where he and Lucas could examine it. The body was covered in cuts and stab wounds, clearly they suffered a slow death from blood loss and pain. When they had arrived at the crime scene and first saw the body it had been so blood soaked that Detective Hanson excused himself to leave, it wasn’t until they brought the man back here that they could even tell the hair color.

“Dr. Morgan, the family is here.” Detective Martinez informed him as she walked over.

“Lucas, continue looking for any signs left from the murderer, I’ll be right back.” Henry instructed before walking off after Jo and into his office.

“Henry this is Fey Smith, sister to Seth Smith.” Jo introduced them. “Fey, this is medical examiner Henry Morgan.”

Henry gave the teenage girl a sympathetic look and took his seat across from her. Fey had the same platinum blonde hair, as her brother, though hers had black highlights at the end, and the same pale complexion but her eyes were a dull gray blue instead of the icy coloring her brother had. “This must be hard for your family. I hope we can catch whoever did this.”

“My family won’t care… they’re dead.” Fey whispered, curling her arms closer against her thin, almost unhealthy, frame. “He was the last family I had left.”

“It must be hard for you.” Henry replied as he watched her nervous form shift her gaze around the room. “You’re safe with us, who ever did this won’t catch you. Did your brother have any enemies?”

“No.” Fey flinched at his voice and grabbed the sleeves of her skintight black jacket as if to find comfort in it. “He was a paramedic at the hospital, nothing more. His friends are the most loyal people on earth and he was well respected by everyone.”

“What about you?” Jo questioned, causing Fey to flinch again. “Anyone who might have killed him to get to you?”

“I-I don’t think so.” She swallowed nervously and tried to calm her breathing. “I just graduated high school a few months before, I was eleventh in my grade, my friends were books, so unless someone killed him because of my rank…”

“It wouldn’t make sense.” Henry finished.

Fey glanced from Henry to Jo before turning towards the door. “C-can I go home now?”

“Just a few more questions.” Jo replied. “Like where were you an hour ago?”

“I was with my friends at the park.” She spoke just loud enough for them to hear. “You saw me come back with them.”

“Do you have a friend you could stay with or that could stay over at your house? It would be safer.”

Fey nodded. “Yes… my brother’s friends can stay over.”

Henry got up and walked her to the elevator while Jo went to talk with Lucas. “Fey, I will catch the person who did this… is there anything you can think of that can help?”

She shook her head after a moments hesitation, he knew immediately she was hiding something but didn’t press the matter as the jumpy girl got into the elevator to leave, instead Henry walked back over to where Detective Martinez was looking down at the victim’s files with a confused look on her face.

            “Something wrong Detective?”

She showed him the file. “I searched every data base from Seth Smith but nothing has come up… not even a birth certificate. At first I thought the system was broken but after I checked it nothing seemed to be wrong, so I looked up Fey Smith as well and got the same result… nothing.”

“Strange right Henry?” Lucas spoke up from beside the body.

“Yes, strange indeed.” Henry looked back towards the elevator. “I think we may need to speak with ‘Fey Smith’ again tomorrow.”

“I send some blood from the victim to the lab to be identified.” Lucas continued. “We should have a real name by morning.”

Henry nodded in agreement at his assistant’s work. “Have you found anything else out?”

“Well ‘Seth’ here seems to have been a healthy twenty year old man, no sign of a ring on his finger so he was single, there is a scar on his palm that appears to have scarred over multiple times, including recently, and he has a tattoo of a white rose dripping blood with the words Unsterblichen Blut. Any idea what that means?”

Henry walked over and looked at the tattoo, it was the one place on the body that didn’t seem to be hacked up. “It’s German… Immortal Blood.”

“Why would you want that tattooed on your arm? And a rose, doesn’t seem like something a man would have inked onto his arm.”  Lucas commented jokingly.

“A gang perhaps?” Jo inquired. “It could be a logo for it.”

“Has there been any recent gang activity?” Henry asked as he mulled over the information.

“No, and according to ‘Fey’ her brother was a good person.”

“Well I guess we can’t figure out what it means until we get more information on who this man really is.” Henry replied, though he did have a hunch at who murdered the man. The cuts were just like those done to the artist banker a few weeks prior; the only difference was that this one had been tortured longer and more painfully before death.
