A few moments after Shay left Jo’s phone went off. “Lucas, what did you find?”

“Uh, well it turns out Fey Smith is actually Lucina Porsche Mengele. Just turned nineteen, a high school drop out a few months before her twelfth year of high school ending.”

“Thanks Lucas, anything else we should know about?”

“Their parents were both murdered a few years apart from each other.”

Henry motioned for the phone and Jo handed it to him. “Lucas, I want you to track her family history, find the people who killed her parents, they could have something to do with this.”

“Right away.” Lucas replied before hanging up.

Henry handed the cell phone back to Jo and turned to see Fey, or Lucina, sitting on the couch with her legs pulled tightly towards her chest, she was giving them a weary look and tried to make herself smaller. It seemed to him that the girl wasn’t any more comfortable at home than she’d been at the precinct.

“Fey, or should we call you Lucina?” Jo spoke up first, taking note at how the girl flinched at her real name. “That is your real name isn’t it?”

            “Y-yes…” Lucina nodded slightly.

“Why did you and your brother lie about your names?” Hanson asked.

Lucina was silent for a moment and glanced in the direction of the hallway, towards the room Shay was in, before looking back at them. “You should know the reason.”

“Look, kid, we’re just trying to help you before this person targets you.”

“I took your advice, I got my brother’s friend to come over.”

Henry saw her pull the sleeve back down over her wrist nervously. “Can you do me a favor?”

Lucina glanced at him wearily. “No.”

“Your brother, he had a tattoo on his arm. Can you lift up your right sleeve?”

“Henry, what does this have to do with the murder?” Jo asked as she turned to face the medical examiner.

“I have reason to believe that was a cult’s mark.” He turned to face Lucina. “Unless she wants to tell us the truth.”

Luncina glanced back towards the hallway. “I-I can’t.”

“Why not?” Jo leaned forward in her seat.

Lucina didn’t answer; instead she just curled up in a tighter ball and stared at the wall, clearly thinking about something. Hanson sighed and looked towards the hallway where Shay could be seen leaning against the wall waiting for his turn to speak. “Shay why don’t you join us, perhaps you can shed some light on things.”

“Alright.” Shay walked over and sat down beside Lucina, who flinched, and looked at the three people across from him. “What would you like to know?”

“Did you know Lucina and Erick Mengele were their real names?” Jo asked first.

“Yeah, that’s how Erick introduced himself when he first started the job… Though he used the surname Smith not Mengele.”
