-chapter fifty-one-

"They wanted a fight. Let's bring them a war."

I said that because I was itching for a fight. Not for two mindless idiots to help me punch people.

I pursed my lips into a frown.

I kneed someone who lunged at me. The armed man quickly fell on the floor, grunting.

I rolled my eyes as I punched the left and kicked the right.

Just because I looked harmless, with a cut in her cheek, or just because my ability is temporarily restricted doesn't mean I'm some weak person in this battlefield.

In the first place, what stupid idiot will walk on a fight without any weapons? Still, his body is already a weapon. It's quite unfair, actually.

I squared up my shoulders and stretched my arms, just in time for me to deliver an upper-cut on someone. Siniko ko ang isang paparating sa likod. It would have been successful if only his action didn't scream bloodlust nor was he shouting. Bakit ba sila sumisigaw 'pag sumusugod? It's like they're telling the whole world na 'nandito ako sa gilid mo ha, iwas ka!'.

Stupids.

Fortunately, I avoided Yohanne's incoming ice spears. It rained down from the icy sky that had burning smoke. Just a few feet away from the ice prince stood his fiery sister, letting out explosives after explosives.

I tapped his shoulder and almost suffered a punch if only my reflexes weren't amazing.

"What." demanda ni Dale.

I stared at his glasses. "Sometimes I want to break that glass and pierce your eye with it.

"What do you want aside from threatening me?"

"Actually, it's more like you threatened me. You almost punched me-"

"I don't really care about that part." nakakairitang tugon niya. "Honestly, I wished it landed. Now, what do you want?"

"I am honestly wondering that too, but remembering how you're delaying our talk, you're just annoying me further." nakahalukipkip niyang sagot.

"I'm glad." malamig akong ngumiti. "Whatever the reason is, it's satisfying to see you lose your temper." sasagot na sana siya nang unahan ko. "Anyway, before I find myself six feet underground, I just wanted to ask if those siblings want to kill everyone here?"

Dale's eyes hardened. "What are we supposed to do?"

"Knock them unconscious, stupid. You're not murderers."

"And you are?"

Naningkit ang mata ko sa kaniya. Dale only answered my narrowed eyes with his raised brows. Then, he shrugged.
