His parents decided to eat at a restaurant in Paseo— sakto malapit lang 'to sa'min— they chose to eat at a Japanese restaurant, his mother sweetly asked me what do I want to eat, sinabi ko nalang ang gusto kong kainin kahit hiyang hiya ako sa magulang niya.
Damon and I are sitting parallel with his parents. Magkatabi kami habang sa harap namin ang magulang niya, Damon also decided to leave my gift and flowers for him in their car.
His mother approached me in a very sweet way. I know they will be good, because my mother is adorable and his mother is sweet, they'll be in good chemistry.
"So, hija, what's your course?" Tanong sa'kin ng Mama niya.
"Tourism po." Simple kong sagot, his mother nodded her head.
"Bagay mo, maganda ka at may katangkaran." She complimented me. "And I think it'll suit you because of your physical appearance, saka you'll tour all over the world for free."
"O-opo," natawa ako ng mahina, "'Yon nga po habol ko, 'yung maka travel ng libre." I even joked. His mother laughed.
"That's the benefit of being a cabin crew." She said. Our order arrived. We've eat while chatting, his father started talking to me and asking me some questions.
"Ohh, so hija." His father started, "You and my son aren't dating?"
"Opo, sir." I said. He shooks his head and glanced at his son. Damon cleared his throat and avoided his father's gaze.
"Just Tito Ramon, hija." He said, "Damon, you're slow, anak."
"Dad, we're taking our time." He reasoned out. "And besides, we're both young."
"Hmm, kunwari ka pa." Tito Ramon laughed, "Kung ikwento mo si Loraine sa bahay non-stop."
"Dad!" Damon is trying to stop his father by raising his voice at him, "Nakakahiya, ano ba.."
His mother joined the fun, she laughed too. "Oh dear, if you just know! Araw-araw gigising 'yan tapos tatanungin niya sarili niya kung gising ka na ba or naka-kain ka na."
Gosh, Damon!
"Mama!" Damon hissed. His mother laughed dearly, "Please, don't do this, Mama."
"Oh, Loraine.." She laughed and slighly slapped my hand on top of the table, then her hand rested on the top of mine. "If you just know how much Damon talked about you all the time.."
I looked at him raising both of my brows, "Ikaw ha." Tudyo ko sa kan'ya, Damon smiled at me nervously and shook his head.
"Ganan talaga kapag crush na crush kita." He said smugly.
"Mahinang nilalang, Damon. Mabagal pa!" Tudyo ng kan'yang ama. Damon looked at me as if he's asking for help, his eyes shows that he's already embarrassed and I just chuckle at it.
Nang matapos kaming kumain his father ordered dessert and a red wine, the four of us are still on the table and when the waiter arrived he poured the red wine on our wine glass, the dessert is also served.
His father initiated to lift up the glass wine and said, "Congratulations to my only son, Damon Venedict Harres. Cheers!"
We tossed our wine in the air and it created a sound.
I sipped on my wine and looked into Damon beside me, tumikim tikim muna siya sa wine at nilapag ang baso sa lamesa.
Hinatid ako sa bahay nila Damon, they even met my mother and it was wholesome. My mother even invited them to drink dinner and his parents respectfully said that they're rushing and going somewhere. My mother said it was fine, if they have time they can come over. Damon told me to call him if I am not yet asleep.
