Kirishima gazed up at Bakugo. the blond had fallen asleep hours ago, but the dragon couldn't. he thought back to the castle. It was huge, as big as the dragon himself.

He didn't know anything about the inside, as of course, he was to big to fit inside the main halls, instead sleeping outside.

That's what bugged him. Bakugo had to leave his side whenever they were at the castle. he hated it. It made him lonely.

He could see that Bakugo didn't really like it either. he noticed the slight regret when he left him. the very obvious annoyance at being ushered inside by the servants.

The blond often vented about it when he was able to come and see Kirishima in all the rush and everything happening in the castle. How annoying it all was, and how he just wanted to leave. Fly away and leave it all behind. just to finally be free.

"-Shima" he was made aware of bakugo nudging him. "Oi you shitty lizard!"

Kirishima blinked, looking back at the blond.

"What? lost in your own thoughts?" the blond asked.

Kirishima had been doing that a lot lately, staring off into space or at him. Bakugo was kind of worried. though he would never admit that out loud. he looked away from him, instead looking at the dead fire before the two.

The dragon stood up, stretching out his wings and legs a bit, and shook his head a little before nudging Bakugo.

"What do you want?" Bakugo  asked giving a slight glare towards Kirishima.

he bent his head a little further down, wanting him to scratch his head. Bakugo sighs, scratching behind his horns, his favorite place. Kirishima closed his eyes and a purr rumbled through the dragon as Bakugo pet him.

"we have to go back to the castle today.." Bakugo says. he sighed a little. he continued to pet kirishima as he spoke.  "I don't want to..I hate being there. There's no freedom. cant do what I want. I know you hate it too. you cant verbalize it but I see it in your gaze."

Kirishima opened his eyes, gazing at Bakugo. he sighed a bit. he often wondered if the dragon really understood what he was saying. it seemed like he did.

When Bakugo was angry or sad his dragon was there to sooth him. celebrated with him when the missions they were given were successful.

He patted the- his dragon's snout lightly with a slight smile. he considered Kirishima his closest, only friend. and, if he was being honest, he wouldn't have it any other way.
