Shadow POV:

Shadow yawned as she opened her eyes. She looked at the picture of Xanthe on her desk, and a tear slipped down her cheek. She hoped her friend had made it to Sadre safely. When she walked out of her room she found Abeke, Meilin, Conor and Rollan waiting for her.

"What are y'all doing out here this early?" she blinked at them, hand going to her hair to make sure it wasn't full of cat hair.

"We overheard what Worthy was telling you last night," said Rollan "Is it true?"

Shadow laughed.

"Is what true?" Just then, Song came crashing through the window, and landed on her face on the floor.

"Won," she said, as Shane crept through the broken glass behind her, careful not to touch it. The five of them stared at Shane and Song.

"Her fault!" Shane pointed to Song. "Shadow I command you to forget you saw a thing."

Shadow shrugged. Halawir came swooping through the hole in the window and landed on Rollan's shoulder.

"Great, so now I have two birds to carry around," he sighed.

"They must like you" said Meilin with a giggle. He rolled his eyes.

"What, you think I was going to miss the confession?" said Halawir. He shook out his feathers and preened. Essix, on Rollan's other shoulder, glared at him.

"What confession?" said Shadow, then she sneakily added "Reilin?"

"You are lucky you are my friend, Shadow, or else I'd push you out that window so you would go splattering on the floor," sighed Meilin. "I don't know why I don't do that."

Shadow laughed nervously, then Tasha came running down the hall chasing a runaway Ninani. She crashed into Shane, who was trying to stealthily exit the scene.

"Oh my Tellun, I'm so sorry," she said as she winced, helping him to his feet again. "What's going on?"

"Apparently he admitted it to Worthy," said Abeke.

"Oh....OH!" Tasha looked up at Shadow, pale eyes wide. "Did he?"

"Did he do what?"

"Confess to Worthy?" Shadow looked around at them, all looking at her hopefully. Even Song, on the floor in the midst of shattered glass, was looking hopeful. Katalin came in and saw the broken glass.

"I'm sorry, did Tero -" she began, then she saw them all staring at Shadow. "What's going on here?"

"We are about to find out!" said Tasha. "So Shadow? Did he?" Shadow knew exactly what they were talking about, even if she was pretending she didn't.

--------The Night Before-------

""Uh Worthy, man, umm, can I talk to you?" Jolt asked me. "Yeah, sure," I said, 'cos, you know, I'm an amazing best friend and wanted to let him talk to me."

"Sure," Shadow said to her husband, not really paying attention.

"Then he asked about our relationship and stuff, then he said; "do you think I could, umm, I could ever be with someone. Like you are. You know, love them enough to marry them four times" and I said; "well if you find the right girl," then I added; "BUT NOT SHADOW SHE IS MINE!!"" the yelling startled Shadow, but she laughed.

"You don't need to be that protective over me. I've married you four times silly." He rolled his eyes at her and she smiled at his handsome face. (not me legit dying cos of how handsome Worthy is rn-)

"Well I did say that. I think I shocked him a little" Shadow laughed.

"Expected."

"But then he said to me, "Well there is one girl" and, naturally, I was like; "who" then he said, this is word for word by the way, and he said it so fast I could hardly make out the name:"Raisha" then, cos I could hardly make out the name, you know, I said: "who!?" and he said: "what she is pretty, and her personality is the kinda girl I'd like too"" Worthy grinned goofy at her.

"Admittedly Raisha is a very nice girl," Shadow said. In fact, to Shadow, Raisha was more than a very nice girl, she was one of her best friends. Now with the sad loss of Xanthe, it made Raisha all the more special to her, it made them all more special to her. She gritted her teeth and tried not to think about Xanthe. She would just end up in tears.

"Then, still word for word, he said: "and well if there was ever a girl I'd want to be with, it would be her." I was daydreaming about you so I didn't answer, but a few minutes later he said: "Worthy?" and I was sadly snapped out of my daydream and answer him: "yeah" wanting to go back into my daydream."

"Ok, I get it, enough about the daydream silly!"

"Well, anyway, then he said: "is it wrong that ever since I danced with her I've been, like, longing to feel her hands again? I've been wishing for her to hold me?" and I was like: "Nope." and then he said to me: "Worthy man, I think I'm in love."" Shadow practically died of laughter at the Niloan accent Worthy was trying, and failing miserably, to put on "How's that funny?"

"No- no it's not that," she said through tears of laughter "It's the accent, mate how'd you do that? You're killing me!"

Worthy smiled. "I like it when ur happy. I'll do that more often."

Shadow tried to stop laughing, but didn't managed as Worthy hugged her.

--------Present Day Again--------

"Yes," said Shadow, "he admitted it to Worthy, but for the love of Tellun don't go telling people! Worthy told me he wasn't supposed to, he can never keep his mouth shut." They all looked stunned and delighted. Then, Raisha came walking over.

"What's going on?" She looked first at Shadow, then the broken glass, then Rollan, standing with a bird of prey on each shoulder.

"We are... trying to find out what happened to this window," said Shadow quickly. (IMPROVISING!! :DD that's one of my favorite and best skills XD)

"IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!" hollered Shane.

"Um, guys, I broke it, and we weren't talking about that anyway, we were talking about how Jolt-" Song started, but Meilin covered Song's mouth, giving her a warning look.

"Jolt - what?!" Raisha was clearly unable to keep the excitement from her voice.

Song pushed Meilin's hand away from her mouth."- said he liked you."
