Chapter18: Grandma says goodbye

Ava POV:

Last night was the last time we were going to see Anne Maire for a while. I decided that Anne Maire could spend the evening with Alex because she wont see him for a while and he is still so little. Alex is only 6 weeks old and growing and exploring everyday. I can't believe that I have been a mother for over a month and a half. I have always thought that your child growing up would be a slow process. Especially when they are small and little. I know that he has to grow up and be bigger. I just wish it was not this soon. I also think that for Anne Marie it is going to be hard letting go of her grandson. We are taking him around the world at 6 weeks old. Most people will say to her why let your child take a newborn across the world . But she is prepared to say that she has no say in our decision because we are adults. I love Anne Marie for that, she lets us make our own decisons and not force us to do whatever she wants. I finished packing the last few things with Ashton in his room while Anne Marie had some well wanted bonding time with Alex. I love how will have a relationship with one of his grnadparents becuase my mom hasnt seen him yet. Or even will ever care. I brought Alex's bag upstairs and sat on the couch opposite Anne Marie. She is an amazing mother and will be an amazing grandma aswell. I am sad to leave her , but I know that I have to go and be with Ashton. 

Ashton POV 

I am going to be headed to the airport with my best mates or brothers, my wife and son. It is crazy to think that I know get to enjoy this whole experience with my family. I am just sad that we are taking our son away from my mom. She has grown very attached to him and not having him with her will be upsetting. We are very lucky that my mom took us in for these last few months while we prepare to go on tour. I thank god for everyday that she has supported me in whatever I am doing. Whether it is my music or having a family at a young age . My mom has been by my side and I couldnt thank her enough. I decided for the airport if I have the carrier on for Alex it would be easier than a car seat which we already shipped to the London house. We ordered a car seat with our rentals so we wouldnt have to worry about it. It was now time to head to the airport and say goodbye. I started by putting our bags in the car and the car seat. I then went back inside and saw Ava and my mom. These last few weeks have been hard for Ava because her Mom hasn't came to even see her or Alex. So my mom is here which is the second best thing. I then called for Ava and my mom and we got in the car. My mom decided to drive us to the airport. We listened to the radio on the way there and had fun. Within a few moments we arrived at the airport ,pulled onto the tarmat and was going to say goodbye. We all got out of the car and took alex out of the car seat and passed him to Ava. " Bye mom , I will miss you " I say to my mom as I walk over and hug her. " Bye honey, have a safe flight , give Alex hugs and kisses for me and send pictures. " My mom said to me . It made me smile and took Alex from Ava, so my mom could say goodbye to Ava. I think that Ava and my mom have a special connection because now they both have something in common . Me , and both having boys as their first child. 

Ava POV 

I now had to say goodbye to Anne Marie, which is hard because I am going to miss her. I love her so much and now we won't see her for a few months. I hugged her for a long time . " Ava, I will miss you, you take care of yourself, Ashton and your son. I know that you can do it , I have faith that you are going to be the best mom to that little boy. If you need anything , I am a skype, phonecall or even a few planes away." Anne Marie said to me and if was reassuring to hear that she was proud of me. It was now time to board the plane and it was becoming real. My life was going to change again this year, I am now a mother, a newlywed, and traveling the world with my husband on tour. I waved goodbye to Anne Marie and watched the door close. I then got settled in my seat with Ashton sitting across from me and facing me. It was time to hit the open air and fly to LA with the boys . I was ready for this next few months.
