Chapter11: Waiting on baby

Ava POV

I have been stuck here in this hospital bed and it feels like eternity waiting on this baby. I even had ashton cuddle with me in the hospital bed with me . It is a big bed and I'm still quite small even though I'm 9 months pregnant. The doctors and nurses keep checking on me. They say that the first baby takes a while to come but how long are we talking , 20 , 30 hours or within today. The other boys are here , all of my girls are back in England . I wish they could be here but they have their boyfriends and families to take care of . I have my support team here with me . I had called my mom , I told her that I was leaving with Ashton to your with him and was taking the baby with me. She got angry and got furious. She told me that I can't take a baby on your , have him stay backstage at a rock concert. I then proceeded to tell her that he was made after a concert , on a tour bus . Not in a hotel or something classy. Her grandchild was made from the love that me and Ashton shared for each other . She then got even more angry at me because she didn't want to loose me in a world where the press will follow me and my every move. But I signed up for this life when I was dating luke , then now marrying Ashton. I knew that she wanted me to end up with a business man or someone in politics but I ended up marrying my childhood love. The person who has been through everything with me, from teaching me how to play the drums to being by my side when my dad passed away. His death didn't effect get like it did me . She was wanting to leave but felt obligated to stay because he was sick. I knew that because of this conversation she may not show up today . To see the birth of her grandson or at least be in the lobby. She never really accepted Ashton as my boyfriend, she thought I was crazy wanting to date a guy in a band who was basically a drop out , and she hated him even more when I told her a lost my virginity to him. She thought I was too young, I was 17 at the time. We decided together that we wanted to wait until we were both comfortable enough to do it. After that, we snuck around and stuff like that. We didn't do drugs or drink . We just had sex and it was the only rebellious then that I did.

Ashton POV

She has been sleeping for about an hour now , I know it is good for her but I'm bored. The boys are walking around the hall , and checking out things . I may go and try to find them but I want to be by Ava's side incase she needs me. I can remember all of the crazy shit that we did together and it is amazing to think that we ended up here. I can remember almost getting caught a few times , me and A . There were a few times were we got caught making out and stuff like that with a blanket on. I knew Ava's mother was not the biggest fan of me , but her dad actually liked me . Even though , with me his daugther was a girlfriend of a want to be rock band drummer . He still believed in me and Ava. He believed in my dreams as well as Ava's. I just wish he could see where we are today. I decided that since she could sleep that I would walk around check on the boys and see how they are doing. " Hey guys , how are you doing?"  I said as I sat beside them are started to talk to them. " How are we , Ash you are the one that is having the baby here. W e should be asking you that question. " Michael said to me. This will be my final hours which will have me not be a parent. I will be a parent from here on out , which is scary but also a excitting ride. After a few minutes , we headed back to the room where Ava was staying in and wated to see if she was awake.  

Ava POV 

After the long nap that I had , I woke up to see the boys sitting in the chairs around me. I had my support group around me. The doctor came in and checkd to see how far along I was, this is when the boys moved away from the bottom of my bed. The doctor told me that I was half way there and that I still had a long wait. As soon and the check up was over , I heard a knock on the door and it was Anne Marie. I wanted to get up and hug her but I was now not allowed to leave my bed because my abilty to walk was soon going to be compremised. " Congrats mommy and daddy , I can't wait to meet my grandson. I brought you guys something Ava. It was mine when Ashton was born. My mother gave it to me , its a necklace that has been in my familt for 2 generations now , and I have to pass it down to you . I know Lauren could have it aswell but I recieved another necklace from when she was born so I will give it to her then. This one is for you. " Anne Marie told me as she passed me a necklace with a small pearl on it. 

Ashton POV 

I love my mom and how she cares so much about Ava. It makes me happy that  she is here today. On one of the most important days of my life. She is supportive of my dreams and is supportive of Ava's dreams . She is also ok with us going across the ocean with a newborn , for me to live my dreams. I know she may be sad that we are taking her grandson away from her but she knows she can visit us whenever.
