Chapter 18 - Confession

THE FOLLOWING DAY -

Everyone waved the 2 couples, Kuroo and Kenma and Bokuto and Akaashi off on their confession dates. Kuroo and Bokuto knew exactly why they were being allowed to have a day off from the house renovation but Kenma and Akaashi were left in the dark. The couples got half way to their destination and broke off to go to their opposite sides of the lake. "Bye Bro", shouted Bokuto, "Right back at you bro and good luck", Kuroo replied.

BOKUTO & AKAASHI I.R.L

The boys reached their tree house and Bokuto was a gentleman and swept Akaashi off his feet and put him over his shoulder, like a fireman, and climbed the tree house. Once at the top he gently placed Akaashi on the floor...

AKAASHI - Thank you Bokuto san, he smiled

BOKUTO - Kaashi, I have something that I really need to talk to you about

AKAASHI - It sounds serious Bokuto san, but go ahead

Bokuto reached across and held Akaashi's hand. His eyes sparkled as he looked at Akaashi and he smiled at him warmly.

BOKUTO - Kaashi, he gulped, I'm falling for you, HARD, I knew from the first moment that I saw you that I was in trouble but at first it was all based on looks. I mean you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen

AKAASHI - Blushed, thank you Bokuto san

BOKUTO - However, when I started to talk to you and spending time with you I realised that you are also beautiful on the inside. You're kind and caring to everyone and you make me feel like I never want to be away from you

Bokuto was stopped by Akaashi's lips meeting his, he was shocked but kissed back. The boys eventually broke apart.

AKAASHI - I'm sorry Bokuto san, I just couldn't hold back any longer. I like you too. You're so gentle and thoughtful and you make me feel special when I'm with you (Akaashi was blushing furiously. He had never been so forthright with his feelings before but it was so easy with Bokuto)

BOKUTO - I'm so happy Kaashi, will you be my boyfriend.

AKAASHI - I would love to Bokuto san

Both boys kissed and spent the rest of the day in each others arms

WITH KUROO AND KENMA I.R.L

Kuroo placed the blanket in their usual place under the tree. He noticed Kenma was yawning and looked tired

KUROO - Are you ok Kenma?

KENMA - I didn't sleep very well

KUROO - Why? Are you unwell?

KENMA - No I'm fine, I was just nervous (he replied looking at the ground)

KUROO - Why were you nervous Kitten

Kenma flushed bright red at the pet name that the older boy used

KENMA - I decided, when I saw you, that I would try really hard to be the one to confess but it's scarier than I thought it would be, so please listen to me and let me get everything out. I know that I am not good enough for you, you are handsome, bubbly, intelligent and kind and I'm just me...

KUROO - Kitten please, you are amazing. The moment I saw you I knew that I would never have these feelings for anyone else again. You're smart, beautiful and fiercely loyal to your friends and I love that. I swear that if you agree to be mine, you will never be made to feel less than you are. I really like you Kenma and I would love to see where this relationship goes. If that's okay with you.

With that Kuroo pulled the smaller boy closer and gently kissed him. Kenma felt like he couldn't breathe but continued to kiss back. They eventually pulled apart from each other and smiled happily.

KENMA - I would love that Rooster, he giggled

KUROO - OK Kitten, now put your head on my lap and try and have a nap

Kenma placed his head on Kuroo's lap and closed his eyes. Kuroo gently ran his hands through his small boyfriends hair and noticed that he had drifted off to sleep. He smiled and whispered, "I love you Kitten."
