Chapter 20 - Stalked

FRIDAY P.M. ONE WEEK BEFORE RETURNING HOME

Osamu's boys were getting ready to drive into town for their usual Friday "volleyball and extreme sports" evening when Sakusa came back into the house where his other bros were kissing their bfs goodbye. "Guys, both van's have flat tyres". "How is that even possible, "Atsumu replied.

Daichi picked up a torch and went outside to check, he came rushing back in with an extremely pale face. "Lock the doors and ring the Police, now". Everyone looked shocked. "Why would we need the police?", Kuroo asked. "Because the tyres have been slashed and the knife is still in the front tyre. I think someone has been watching us." Everyone looked nervous and very upset. Daichi rang the police and waited for them to arrive at the lake house.

An hour later the local police arrived and took photos, statements and some prints that were on the vans. The officer in charge spoke to Daichi directly, "Mr Sawamura try to not worry to much, I'm embarrassed to say that we have a gang of teenagers that are travelling around the vicinity causing chaos like this but we will keep you informed. I've got a contact number for a local garage who will come out and change the tyres for you here". He handed the card to Daichi who said, "thank you sir for your assistance."

After they had left Iwa turned and said laughing" well, it looks like we are all having a pyjama party tonight." However the smile left his face when he looked at Kawa. The brown haired boy had tears rolling down his face, he was wide eyed, shaking and hyperventilating. Suga was rubbing his back to try and calm him down while Akaashi was talking to him in a soothing voice, "it's OK, it's OK, it's not him, he doesn't know that you are here. Kenma and Suna were handing him tissues and Atsumu was running his fingers through Kawa's hair.

Iwa ran to Kawa and held him in his arms, "Baby what's wrong", he asked with mounting concern. Kawa was so upset that he couldn't form any words as he was sobbing so much. "Akaashi, can you all take Kawa in the other room and try to calm him down. Make sure you all stay with him. I think it's about time that I told the other guys about HIM", Suga said seriously.

Suga didn't start to talk until he knew that Kawa was out of earshot.

SUGA - this all started a year ago. A new boy called Tanji Kurai came to our college and Kawa was part of the welcoming group. He can't bear anyone being anxious about not having any friends or being bullied so he took him under his wing.

IWA - That sounds like him. He's such a kind soul

SUGA - Tanji got the wrong idea, he was obsessed with Kawa and stalked him mercilessly. I contacted police because Kawa was too scared to.

IWA - Well at least you stopped him

SUGA - We didn't we just made him worse. He let himself in Kawa's house, he knew that he was alone as his parents travel alot for business, and he waited. When Kawa got home he attacked him trying to force himself on him...

Iwa was visibly enraged. "I WILL FUCKING KILL HIM". The boys had to try and calm Iwa down.

IWA - Suga you need to tell me everything. Please.

SUGA - His neighbour knows my mother and told us that she thought something was wrong with Kawa, she could hear him screaming. My mother rang the police and me, Kenma, Akaashi, Atsumu and Suna ran to his house.

By this point Iwa was in floods of tears and looked close to losing it completely.

SUGA - We got there as the police were bringing him out of Kawa's house and he was shouting, You slut you belong to me don't you ever forget. We saw an ambulance in front of the house and Kawa was in it. He had an oxygen mask on and was out of it on painkillers but we found out that he managed to fight Tanji off but had ended up being kicked in the knee by Tanji which led to Kawa's knee being dislocated.

DAICHI - Why would Kawa think that he was here surely he's in prison after being arrested.

SUGA - He escaped and no one has seen him since. The police thought that he may have fled the country to avoid being punished. But they aren't entirely sure.

All of a sudden Kawa could be heard screaming, " please I want Iwa chan, please I don't feel safe without him.

Iwa stood up and clambered into the other room and Kawa ran towards him sobbing. "It's okay baby, I'm got going to let anyone hurt you". They both lay on the futon in each others arms whilst Iwa tried to calm him down.

DAICHI - We are all going to sleep in this one room tonight but we'll take it in turns to stay awake and guard the door. It would probably be safer if two of us did it at a time, just in case and everyone else can sleep surrounding Iwa and Kawa so that he feels safe.

IWA - Thanks guys

Daichi and Sakusa took the first watch. The others tried to sleep but could occasionally hear Kawa whimpering in his sleep. Every so often they would hear Iwa consoling him, "it's okay baby, we're all here for you we won't allow anything to happen to you". Iwa held him close, stroking his cheek and kissing his forehead. "I love you baby Kawa", he whispered. "I love you too Iwa chan"? he replied softly.

Gladly the night ended without any problems. Kawa sat up and saw all of his friends forming a circle around him to keep his safe. He had never felt so loved and when he looked at the boy next to him asleep on the floor he felt like his heart would burst.

The phone rang loudly and everyone nervously jumped. Daichi answered the call. "OK thank to you for letting us know sir." Daichi placed the phone back down. "Guys that was the police they caught the person who slashed the tyres and it was a 15 year old member of the gang that the officer told us about last night. He admitted everything."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief but still decided to all stay together at the house for the next few days.
