"Hey, Penny--"

"I know! Today's baby day!", she cut off Atti's sentence.

"You remembered."

"How could I forget! I am so, so excited.", her computer beeped, "Damn it!"

"Lemme guess, new case?"

"Yeah. But it's local so we should be able to visit you guys and the munchkins soon!"

"Alright, we'll see you guys then.", Atticus exchanged a quick goodbye and turned to look at Spencer who was gripping the steering wheel so hard his knuckles were flushed white, "Are you ok over there, Spence?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah--don't w-worry about me! I should be worried about you!"

"Spencer. Relax. I'm not even having contractions yet and even when they do start there's nothing to be worried about. You are fine. I am fine. Everything's ok."

"Yeah, no. You're right, you're right. Everything's fine."

--

Atticus let Spencer fill out all the boring hospital forms, hoping that it would calm his nerves a little bit but also because she didn't want to do it herself. Thankfully, they didn't have to wait too long and before they knew it, Atti was hooked up to an IV with both Pitocin and hydration fluids with Spencer sitting behind her and pulling her close against him.

"You know they told you to do this mostly for your benefit.", she giggled.

"I know. I think they're afraid I might pass out. And rightfully so, I mean--I'm very excited but I also feel like I might throw up."

"Oh, God. Spencer, please do not vomit on me."

"I won't.", he huffed out a laugh, "I promise."

He went to go get her more ice since she was growing more and more irritated about the no food rule, "How are you feeling?", he asked before placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

"I mean it--uh doesn't feel great. Pretty shitty, actually. But not too bad, although that's probably because they're already administrating small amounts of anesthesia. How are you doing? You still look kinda pale."

"I'm doing ok."

"Would you like to tell me some statistics to keep me occupied?"

"Of course. What do you want to hear about?"

"Just tell me some of what you read in those millions of parenting books. But--um preferably leave out the odds of something going wrong right now."

"Will do. Last year 3,999,386 babies were born in the U.S. which is a 3% drop from the previous year. The average age for women having their first baby last year was 25."

"Wow, ok. Kinda missed the mark by 10 years."

"We didn't even know each other 10 years ago, Atti."

"Fair point. Continue."

"The twin birth rate decreased to 33.1 twins births per 1,000 women. And you just so happen to be one of those thousand. Cesarean deliveries accounted for 32.8% of all births. The average amount of people per family is 3.15. The preterm birth rate, which is 37 weeks or less in the womb was 11.9%."

"I don't know about you, but I'd say our odds are pretty damn good."

"Yeah, hopefully."

--

Spencer rambled practically the whole time during the C-section. From everything to more statistics about cesareans to facts about internal organs. To which the doctor said he didn't think Spencer was an M.D., and he had to explain that he's not, he's just a genius.

--

The team wasn't able to come and visit until the next day. Spencer stood over their baby girl in her sweet little bassinet, looking into her round eyes, one green and the other brown, and her little button nose. And Atticus looking at Onyx, who has the same bright green eyes as her and his adorable toothless little smile.

"Look at how small their fingers are.", Spencer smiled as Octavia held on tight to his index finger.

"And their little toes."

"You know, I'm pretty sure I've checked that they have all ten fingers and toes at least three times."

"And?"

"Oh, they're definitely all there."

"Good to know."

Just then Penelope knocked softly on the slightly ajar door, "May we enter?", they could clearly hear how giddy she was.

"Yeah, yeah. Of course."

"Make sure you wash your hands first!", Spencer rushed out.

Everyone washed their hands one by one. Penelope beating everyone to the sink so that she could hold the babies first.

Spencer handed Octavia over to her, albeit reluctantly so.

Penelope made sure to cradle her close, "Oh, look at you. You are just the sweetest little thing, aren't you? Such cute chubby cheeks, my goodness.", Octavia smiled slightly at her, and Garcia's eyes immediately began to water, "She just smiled at me. Oh, my God."

"She likes you.", Atticus spoke with a smile. Penelope gingerly passed the baby girl over to JJ who cooed at her softly. Atti was trying to hand Onyx off to Derek who was putting up quite the protest.

"What you don't like our kid?", she joked.

"No. I just--I don't wanna drop him."

"Oh, my god. Derek you are not going to drop him."

"You don't know that."

"You held Henry."

"And Jack.", Hotch added with a rare smile on his face.

"Those times were pure luck."

"Morgan, you kick down doors like every day. You point a Glock at people with some of the steadiest hands I've ever seen. And you're scared of my little baby.", Spencer teased.

"I'm not afraid of him."

"Then hold him.", her tone came out a little more aggressive than she meant.

"Mama bear already, aren't we?"

"Have been for the last 9 months.", she coerced him to open his arms placing Onyx gently into them.

"Holy crap, this kid looks just like you, Parker.", he huffed out a small laugh.

"Really?"

"Oh, yeah. Spitting image. Same eyes, face shape, everything. Except he's got Reid's hair."

"I think Occie looks a little more like me, right?"

"Definitely, Spence. She has your eye shape and your nose for sure."

Spencer pulled Atticus closer to him, placing a soft kiss on her temple as all their friends awed at their babies.

"I can't believe we did it.", she muttered under her breath.

"Well, you did it."

"Sure, but you helped."

"Yeah, kind of takes two to tango."

"I just hope we're ready for what's ahead of us."

"Why? Because they're going to be just like you?"

"Yup. There's a reason we call them little gremlins."

"Well, then that only makes me more excited for what comes next."
