Warning: mentions of torture, murder and suicide.Remus woke up feeling even more sleepy. He wondered how that is even possible. The alcohol didn't do anything to him, but the Hufflepuff girl did. She drove him crazy. He had to gather all his energy last time so he doesn't give in and touch her. As much as he wanted her all for himself, he also wanted to make her feel safe. Remus made himself a promise not to touch her unless he hears her approval first.
"Good morning! Wherewolf?"
The covers were pulled from head, making Remus groan and put his face on the pillow.
"Therewolf!" Sirius kept going, not caring about his friend's sleepiness.
"That joke is as old as your dick, Padfoot."
He could hear Leta's chuckle, then clinking of plates and glasses. Then, he heard a small thud and a whine. "Ouch!"
"Shut up, Lettuce."
"Don't call me that!"
Some people have breakfast in the morning. Others have sex. Leta and Sirius have attempted murder.
"Fine." Sirius went behind her and reached for the wine glass on the top shelf. Then, he put his head near her shoulder. "Lettuce."
A loud thud was heard again, making Remus look up and catch a glimpse of Sirius running outside and Leta chasing him with a spoon. "Noodlehead!"
It took him a few seconds to process what he just saw. He blinked a few times, trying to understand what was happening. Then, he chuckled and put his head back on the pillow. It was just Sirius being his annoying and teasing self and Leta getting angry and thirsty for murder. The man often played with fire and everyone knew that Leta wasn't afraid of using actions instead of words. Violent actions. It was no surprise that each day everyone wondered how Sirius managed to live another day.
Leta soon came back locking the door behind her. Remus often wondered how she could manage without magic. She was born as a pure-blood witch and grew up using magic. Then, she stopped using it and discarded her wand like it was just a plain stick. The hazel eyed man looked over at the girl, thinking if asking her is a right thing to do. Certain subjects were forbidden to talk about and they all made a promise not to talk about them. But Remus was extremely curious, and Sirius and Leta never said that magic was a forbidden subject.
"Leta?" Remus called, getting up and reaching for his t-shirt. He could finally get out of his robe and shirt he usually wore at school and be more comfortable.
"Yes, Remmy?"
His heart melted at her nickname. It reminded him of just how far she came and broke her walls. She was the only one to call him like that and he did not allow anyone else to do so. He had a soft spot for Leta since the day they found her and he carried her on her back. She was as light as a feather. His stomach twisted as he watched her stuff her mouth with food once they got home. Sirius and him exchanged a few worried glances, then looked over at the girl again. Both of them had many questions and they were sure that the girl had some too. She must've seen the self spinning ladle in the pot, floating candles on the Christmas tree and the yellow Puffskein on the coffee table. Something like that surely doesn't exist in the muggle world. But after seeing Leta carelessly looking around the room, they came to a conclusion. She had to be a witch. The same question was in their heads: Why didn't she simply use magic to get herself out of trouble?
