Today was Raegans court hearing. She was getting dressed in nice clothes, looking at herself in the mirror. Fuck how much she did not want to do this.

"Raegan Gallagher! Get your ass down here!" She heard Fiona call from downstairs.

She made her way downstairs where her dads, Fiona, Lip, Debbie, Carl, Liam, Fred, Franny, Riley, Kila, Kev, V and Tami all were, ready to support her for her hearing. A real full house. "There she is," Debbie said, hugging her.

"Don't say anything stupid today," Liam said, Raegan smiled flipping him off., still being hugged into Debbies chest. "You better not, I get you out of enough shit for you to be sent to juvie now," Carl added.

"Has there been a Gallagher conceived yet that hasn't been to court?" Tami asked. "Nope," everyone said simultaneously. "Raegans just continuing the family legacy," Fred added. "That's right," Kev said winking at her.

"Aye, rugrat, meds before we go," Mickey called, holding her pills. She took them quickly before turning to Riley and Kila. "You okay?" Riley asked. Raegan smiled, "better than ever, not like I wouldn't have robbed the place if I wasn't bipolar anyway."

Kila was extremely lucky to not be involved in this court case, since she had no previous arrests, wasn't the one holding the firearm along with Carl's help, she got off with just community service.

"Don't say that today," Franny butted in, making Raegan laugh. "Or anything that sounds like Raegan Milkovich," added Kila.

"Come on Rae, let's get going," Lip said, putting both his hands on her shoulders, guiding her out the door. "Yep, gotta go. Come on guys," Ian said grabbing his keys as the rest of them followed.

     "I call shotgun!" Kev yelled.

Raegan sat at the front of the courtroom, her lawyer sitting next to her. All her family, along with Kila and Riley sat behind her. She waited patiently for her case to begin.

"All rise," she heard a voice call. She stood up, looking behind her to see Franny, Kila and Riley behind her. Franny nodded to her in reassurance.

"Please be seated," the judge said. It was an African- American woman, who looked quite young, only mid twenties or so. "This is case number 2020C3407,  the state of Illinois versus Raegan Gallagher-Milkovich for the felony crime of armed robbery."

She paused as she flicked through papers, before looking back up to Raegan. "Raegan G. M. In this case, how do you plead?"

Raegan looked to her lawyer, he nodded at her, meaning get your ass up and plead insanity. So she stood up, holding her hands together. She didn't want to be there, but if she was anything, one thing she definitely wasn't was a coward. So she held her head high.

"Your honour, in the time that I committed this crime, I wasn't in a very good place. As a matter of fact, the day after I did this, I ran away. My fathers were worried sick for a week while I was away, making money in ways I shouldn't have, I was abusing myself really. And I regret it. I recently got out of the hospital after a suicide attempt, I've been putting my family through hell. But, there's a reason behind all of these actions," Raegan said.

"And what's that reason Miss Gallagher- Milkovich," the judge asked.

"After my suicide attempt, I was kept in the hospital for over a week. I woke up, screaming that someone was coming after me. I didn't want to admit it, but I was having many psychotic breaks over the past few weeks. After the nurses had run many tests and psychiatric evaluations, they came to a diagnosis that I was bipolar. Because of this, in the time that I committed this robbery I was in a manic state, so I wasn't in control of myself or my actions. Because of this.. I plead not guilty by reason of insanity."

She heard sighs of relief from behind her. She smiled back to her family, they all looked relieved and happy. She knew that they were on edge that she would act out since she was in denial of her mental illness, so she just put their minds at ease.

"Well, in fact I do have medical records here, showing your diagnosis, your time spent in the hospital and your prescription of the medication that you are now on which does prove the fact that you are indeed bipolar," the judge went on. "Also considering this is your first felony, despite other arrests, I can see that you pleading insanity is appropriate."

Raegan smiled, happy that the plan had worked. "Instead of a juvenile detention facility which I believe will not benefit you in any way, I sentence you to spend 72 hours in a mental facility." She hit her grovel.

Raegan heard her family cheer and laugh as they rushed to hug her as she walked out. "Thank goodness," Kila said, hugging her. She felt everyone hugging her, she knew this was the best way the court case could have gone, but if she was honest with herself, her heart dropped when she realised she would have to spend time in a mental facility.

"I've never bullshitted so much in my life," she laughed. "We know," Ian said putting his arm around her. If she had acted like herself on the stand, she would've definitely gone to juvie for a long fucking time.

That night, Raegan was back in the Kash N Grab. Working at this place would make you mentally ill on its own. She was just handing change back to an old woman when she heard the bell jingle again.

Isaac walked in just as the woman left. She smirked leaning back in her chair. "You're back for another fuck?"

"Well that usually is the purpose of a fuck buddy isn't it?" He smiled, reaching behind the counter for a pack of cigarettes. She smiled.

Raegan knew Isaac was only a fuck buddy, but there was just something about him that gave her butterflies. Maybe his deep blue eyes, dark hair.. maybe his deep voice or his dorky smile.. no. That was cringy. It was just a coincidence.

Raegan raised her eyebrows at him as he took them. "Relax I have fucking money," he snapped, throwing it onto the counter. He started to open the pack, "so how'd your court shit go?"

"Got away with it really by pleading insanity. Have to spend 72 hours in some mental place type shit but I mean it's better than a year in juvie," she said putting the money into the register.

Isaac put a cigarette in his mouth, lighting it. "Shit so you really are a nutcase."

"Fuck you Ward."

Isaac chuckled, looking down. Shit.. butterflies.

"How's shit with your dad?"

"Same douchebag he always is ain't he? Cant wait to get the fuck away from that asshole."

Raegan poked her tongue against her lip.

"So again you're the chatty one when we could be fucking right now," Isaac said smiling.

She grinned, walking to the door, locking it as Isaac walked to the backroom, Raegan following quickly after him.

He lifted her up against the shelves hard, making items fall off again. He sucked on her neck as they both panted, not being able to get their clothes off fast enough...
