-Your father died when you were 4 in a car crash n his way to pick you up from school

-Your mother wanted a father figure in your life, so when you were 6, she started seeing Craig

-In your young mind, Craig was the coolest person in the world

-He was caring and sweet, not only was he a friend who was always willing to lay dolls or practice pitching with, but he was a soldier!

-You absolutely adored Craig, to you he was the only father figure you knew since you were so young when your biological father died

-After about a year of dating, Craig asked your permission to ask your mom to marry him, and of course, it was an overwhelming yes

-The first time Craig heard you call him dad was when he was dropping you off at a classmates birthday party

-"who's that?" "Oh, that's my dad." Craig had to do a double-take when he heard you introduce him as your dad, it was honestly one of the most special days of his life

-He gives you an extra long hug before going back to the car and letting a tear slip down his cheek, definitely tells your mom all about it

- Craig is most definitely the type t keep every single drawing you ever made and hang them on the wall, including any school projects

-He tries to be as involved as possible, but unfortunately he can't always be there given his job

-It took him a long time to be okay when he was getting deployed again

-The first time he had to leave for deployment you cried and begged him to stay, it absolutely broke his heart to leave but the hug he got when he came back made every mission worth it

-Craig encouraged you to get into sports as a kid, mostly because he wanted to brag about how great you were at them

-Once you got older and started dating he was definitely the protective type when it came to dating

-It didn't matter if you were male or female, Craig wouldn't dare let a soul hurt a hair on your head

-Your mother had to distract him the first time you went on a date because he wanted to spy on you

-Craig showed up to every game when he wasn't busy with work

-The kind of dad to cheer you on from the bleachers and give bear hugs to you after the game, he always made sure that you knew he loved you and was proud f you whether you won or lost

-He was the first person you came to with problems or the first person to consult when it came to important life decisions

-At your graduation he cried, he was just so emotional seeing you all grown up

-Makes sure to tell you that your dad would be so proud if he could see you now

-Watching you go off to college was one of the most rewarding and heart-wrenching things he's had to endure, on one hand you were following your dreams and bettering yourself, but on the other his precious little girl/boy were growing up and didn't need to rely on him anymore
