After All This Damage (Finished)

Chapter 2

Flashforward to 2023
(A/N Tony, Vision and Nat survive, and Steve stays in 2023. I could not write them out, they are too amazing)

Prior to the blip, and after S.H.I.E.L.D. had fallen, you had taking a job at Stark Industries, you worked along side Tony developing new ways to make the world safer. Even during the blip you continued to work for Tony even though he "retired" to his lake house as he started a family with his amazing wife Pepper and their adorable daughter Morgan, who was your adoptive niece. You practically lived at the Starks, every night you went over for dinner and enjoyed the company of your adoptive family.

When Steve, Nat, and Scott arrived five years later, talking crazy about time travel, Tony declined simply because he loved that everything was finally going right in his life and he did not want to lose his happiness. That same evening, he called you up asking you to come and helped him in the math of getting this time travel talk to actually work. After hours the two of you finally found a way to successfully travel back in time, collecting the stones, and returning everyone who Thanos had snapped away.

You did join the final fight using one of Tony's suits that he had made up just in case something did happen. When Tony had taken the gauntlet from Thanos, he snapped his fingers making all of Thanos and his followers disappear into dust. Tony passed out from the power the stones had cause when they were put all together. After the battle, everyone reunited and enjoyed one another as Tony made plans in building the newest Avenger compound. It was the third one since the Avengers had formed, 12 years prior.

Most of Avengers moved into the compound so they were able to be together if anything were to happen again. You had a room there, you lived in between Bucky and Steve's room, Nat was across the hall. You were best friends with Nat, the two of you trained together; you were not a super solider like Bucky and Steve but you were almost as strong as them. You had been training your whole life, (mainly in the last 9 years to get strong like Barnes) you did not like people to know your past, it was best left alone. You had gone down to breakfast and was greeted by Sam, Wanda, and Vision.

"Morning Ms. Y/N. How did you sleep last night?" Vision welcomed you, he was always so polite.

"Just fine. So what are you cooking today?" You sat in the last bar stool on the end of the island, next to Wanda.

"Pancakes. How many would you like?" He had on a cute little apron as he cooked; it had a Captain America chest print on it, you laughed on the inside.

"Two is just fine. Thanks." Vision made you a plate. You grabbed the syrup and drizzled it on top, cutting into the pancakes laying in front of you.

"Any new missions today?" you inquired looking over at Sam.

"Tony wanted us in the meeting room at 10." replied Sam, not looking up from today's paper.

"I hope its something good. I'm dying to get out and do something." You grabbed a piece of bacon from the platter in front of you.

You helped Wanda do the dishes "How are things between you and Vision?" you tried starting up a conversation, Wanda was more aloof since everything that had happened.

"Really well. I missed not having him around when he was captured by Thanos." She seemed sad at the thought of his time with Thanos, we all were burdened from the last five years and what it brought emotionally to the table.

"Its good to have him back" you said smiling at her.

It was almost time for the meeting. You went back to your room, which was darker how you liked it. The bed frame was black, the bed spread was a light grey with a darker grey quilted print on top and the walls were painted a beautiful pewter grey color. You did enjoy your tall windows that led out to a balcony. You put on a band shirt and some jeans, then you headed out of your room and bumped into Bucky.

"Sorry." You apologized.

"It's fine. Heading down to the meeting?" He asked. His steel blue eyes were staring into your e/c ones, making you melt. You wanted to gaze into them all day, you were able to read his emotions, he seemed happy today. You knew he dented your car 9 years ago but you forgave him, for he was brainwashed. You were glad that he was better and was getting help from a therapist, it was good for him.

"Yea heading that way now." The two of you headed to the meeting room together. 

When you arrived, you took a seat in between Wanda and Nat. In the room was a big conference style table, it of course was wired to Tony's liking and had his AI system built into it for the team to use, but the room itself was surrounded by glass windows, and everything seemed to have a light grey color to it.

"So you and metal man?" Nat whispered with a smirk on her face.

"Were just friends. I know he is good looking but I don't think he feels the same," you said trying to hide the blush that formed on your cheeks.

"I beg to differ" Wanda mumbled under her breath. You were about to ask her what she meant but Tony had walked in.

"Alright welcome Avengers. We have a mission." Tony announced. "We have some people trying to recreate the Super Solider Serum in an old hydra building. We are going to shut it down. Bucky, Nat, and Y/N, you get to go in and shut it down. Get all the information you can off their hardware. Everyone else, help them and take everyone out. Got it, alright, suit Up."

"Hey that's my line." Steve said a little sad.
