Book Bloopers

- Annabeth was originally going to have an unnamed girlfriend, but I decided to give aro ace representation (even though technically I'm aro ace XD)
 
- Hermes, Nike, Reyna, and Luke weren't planned to be in this story when I wrote out things I wanted to happen in each chapter
 
- Chapter 17 was actually given a prompt through some of my Discord friends. At first it was supposed to be on the verge of just a PWP chapter, but for the last time, Bren, if you're reading this, I'm giving you a friendly reminder that I do NOT WRITE SMUT
 
- Keira Chase (Annabeth's step-mother) was supposed to be the one enforcing the arranged marriage
 
- Athena was supposed to show up in here as well, but I figured we had enough parent issues, so left it be. (Though if you guys want a chapter of that, feel free to shoot me a comment and I'll pull something together)
 
- Persephone sounds a lot nicer in my story wants than in the actual story. Heh
 
- Bianca died in a car crash three years prior to the first chapter. (I can't remember if I ever mentioned that or not)
 
- Tristan was ALSO supposed to be in here to show Piper's issues with her dad, but, again, I thought we had enough issues going on with Hades and Frederick and Gabe
 
- When I went to write Chapter 6, the first storyline I wrote was Leo and Jason's. Leo was supposed to have a conversation with Harley (who was also supposed to be present) before running away from the orphanage
 
- If you payed attention to the relationship tags before I edited them, Hazel and Frank were supposed to get together. I just couldn't find a place to fit them in, so I gave subtle hints towards it in Chapter 11
 
- Gosh darn it Frank was supposed to have an actual character in this story. Cri
 
- So instead of Sammy and Hazel, I was going to give a background depth between Hazel and Leo. I planned to have her recognize him from passing by the orphanage on her way to school every day. Unfortunately, just like her relationship with Frank, I couldn't find a place to fit it in, so I gave hints towards it
 
- I still have no idea whether or not Nico and Jason are actual cousins. I claim they are in a chapter ( I can't remember which one), but it wasn't planned to be that way
 
- At first I wanted them all to go to the same school, but then I realized that'd be kinda troublesome. Instead, I made Percy go to AHS, and Nico is homeschooled. Hazel switched schools and went to AHS with Frank. Leo obviously can't go to school, and Jason goes to a different school. I never figured out how Piper got her education
 
- In Chapter 4, Nico wasn't supposed to hide from Percy
 
- I wanted to give some more diversity to the struggles with depression and anxiety, so originally Nico was supposed to be anorexic, but I traded him out for a selective mute instead
 
- If given more time to write with Leo, I would have made his ADHD very present
 
- The fight between Annabeth and Kiera was supposed to be during dinner, not after in Chapter 7
 
- Part of this story was supposed to be focused on different aspects of parenting. Uninvolved parents like Zeus were planned, Tristan was supposed to be given bipolar depression, and I wanted to show how much Piper struggled with that. Hades was given the absentee arc I wanted, however I didn't plan for Hermes, so I made him more of the "carefree, live your life" parent
 
- Luke's Diner popped up randomly (there's an 80% my brain thought I was trying to write a Gilmore Girls fanfiction) and I tried to explain it later. Thankfully this series has a Luke
 
- In Chapter 13 Nico wasn't supposed to be kicked in the head. It just happened, I swear
 
- Hades was originally supposed to drive Nico over to the cemetery, where they would talk out their issues about Bianca and Maria's deaths. Instead that seemed way off and kinda cryptic, so I changed it to the car ride
 
- Percy wasn't supposed to be in court in Chapter 16, it just kinda happened
 
- In Chapter 17, Nico and Percy were supposed to only cuddle, not make out like that. But as long as I didn't have to go into smut, I was fine writing it
 
- In Chapter 18, the reason Nico says he thought he said yes was because of his brain damage. I wasn't about to just supply that information and let it go
 
- Somewhere in between Chapter 17 and Chapter 18, Percy and Nico almost broke up due to stress being piled up. I almost wrote about it, but decided against it. You guys have read enough angst
 
- Half of these chapters wrote themselves, and the others were forced to hit the 2k word limit. It was stressful on my part, but I did it (mostly)
