Leaning up against a wall with blood dripping down her arm, it was hard to deal with for a teenage girl. One of her best friends betrayed her, and her girlfriend had been killed. She looked down at her arm and her hoodie sleeve opened to a gaping wound. Ray grabbed the sleeve and ripped it more until it came off and tied it around the cut.

She darted her head around a corner and saw no one, spying a door. She stumbled her way over into the room and found herself in a room filled with medical stuff. The door opened and Nat stepped in, huffing and eyes red and the metal rod firmly gripped by her hands.

Ray swung her head to see the small girl with her hood covering her face. "Nat? Are you okay? What happened with you?" She asked, slowly walking towards Nat and standing in front of her. Nat turned her head to make eye contact with Ray and placed her head into the other's chest. Ray placed her hand on Nat's back and rubbed it softly. "Nat, what happened? You never cry."

"Elise, is dead. She was beaten... She was raped... I found her outside with an arrow in her chest."

– Flashback: Nat's POV –

Nat walked out of the room after Timothy had left the room and hadn't come back for a few minutes. She opened the door and saw Elise on the ground with an arrow through her chest. Nat looked at her body and fell to her knees. She grabbed Elise's shoulders, shaking her dead body violently. "Wake up Elise, don't be playing games with me!" She screamed, tears welling up in her eyes.

Elise's body lay there, flopping around as Nat shook her. After a half a minute, Nat realised Elise was really dead, placing her body back down onto the ground. She got up and sniffled, before running away. "I'll get out of this hell hole, I'll escape for you Elise. I'll escape for you, cousin."

– End of flashback: Ray's POV –

Ray stood there in horror. The strongest girl she knew was beaten, raped and killed. "Brooke's dead too," she spoke softly and Nat clenched onto Ray's hoodie.

"I should have stopped him. I was sitting there for ages. Listening to her screaming, it broke my heart," Nat sobbed and looked up at Ray, "I should have done something!"

Ray hugged her tighter, one hand on her back and the other on the back of Nat's head. They stood there for a minute until pain flooded Ray's arm. She let go of the shorter girl and held her arm tightly. Nat noticed the sleeve tied to her arm and how it was covered in blood. "Oh god, you're injured. I'll stitch it up if you want," Nat stuttered between sniffs, looking around the room to find a medical kit.

Ray sat down on one of the beds and Nat came over with a kit, pulling up a chair and sitting in front of Ray. After about 10 minutes, Ray's arm had 20 stitches and had a large patch over the wound. Her head was pounding and she lay down on the bed. Nat looked over and sighed. "We need to get moving if we want to get out of here."

Ray looked over to Nat and mumbled. "Fine, let's go." At this point, she had no intention of wanting to survive with the love of her life dead. Nat grabbed her hand and pulled her up off the bed and towards the entry way. Ray stood on guard watching for anyone while Nat tried the door. She jiggled the handle but it wouldn't budge and turned around in defeat.

"It's not opening, and the back door has been blocked by wood. There's no way out at this point."

"There has to be some way to get out!"

A gun shot went off. Ray stood motionless and looked down. Her stomach had started to bleed massively. Nat looked down at Ray and behind her. Grace was standing there with a rifle up to her face. "Aww, I thought I would have gotten both of them!" She stomped her foot in disappointment. Ray started coughing up blood and fell onto Nat.

Nat held her up in her arms and gulped. "Ray, please, you can get through this. We just need to get out of here!" She grabbed Ray's chin and made her look at her. "Please, just, hold in there."

Ray started coughing again and smiled weakly. "You're going to have to escape for the rest of us. Escape for Elise, Brooke and me. We'll be looking over you, always," Ray said weakly and closed her eyes. Nat's eyes welled up with tears and placed Ray down on the ground.
