"Traditional kids games are boring and repetitive. Why not add a little twist to them?" The family motto of the Williams' family speaks for itself. They make their games fun, more exciting to them, but more or less enjoyable for the other people playing the game. Their favourite one they've twisted into some sick game is Hide and Seek.

---

Grace Williams, the youngest of the family but the most messed up in the head. Seeming like a normal girl to the naked, unsuspecting eye, she was the one to bring her family some entertainment.

---

A normal day of school, an exciting night for Grace. Today, she was allowed to bring over four people she was close to. The brunette walked into the school and towards the lockers where her friends were. They had never been to her house and was pleading Grace to see her house ever since she started talking about how big her house was. She walked over to the blonde, redhead and brunettes.

"Grace! We've been waiting for you for ages!" The blonde said. The other three nodded their heads and complained about how late Grace was.

"Sorry Elise, my parents held me back for a while," Grace replied, placing her hand on the back of her neck and rubbing it. "Also, would you guys like to come over to my house? I know you've been-" Grace was suddenly cut off by her friends squealing.

"Would we?! We'd love to! We've been dying to visit your house. Me and Ray walk past it every day!" The redhead said enthusiastically. Ray nodded while jumping in joy.

"My mum has been dying to meet you guys, especially you Brooke," Grace said, pointing to the redhead. "She thinks you're a really nice girl."

"I'm the nice one? Nat's the nicest one in the group," Brooke said, pointing to the other brunette who had her hood over her head with her earplugs in. She noticed Brooke pointing at her and took one earplug out.

"Why's the crazy redhead pointing at me?" Nathalie asked, confused and the girls laughed.

"Grace is finally having us over!" Elise and Ray said in unison and Nat nodded, putting her earplug back out. Her expression stayed the same until she realised what they said and looked at Grace shocked.

"You mean... We actually get to see the inside of your house? Wow, I'd never expect this from little Miss Williams," she said sarcastically and the rest of them laughed. Grace chuckled slightly.

The bell rang and the five girls walked to class. Once school had finished, Brooke, Elise and Ray ran out in excitement while Nathalie held back, talking to Grace. "Hurry up slow pokes!" Elise yelled out and ran further away from the group. Ray and Brooke stayed close to the other two, but still running to Grace's house. They finally arrived at the large house on the hill after a 15 minute walk from the school.

"I never realised your house was this far away," Nat said. "It's huge though. How rich are you?"

Grace shrugged and started walking up the path to her house. The others followed, in awe of the scenery outside the house. To their surprise, there was an old lady on the porch in a rocking chair. "Good afternoon Nana," Grace said and helped her grandmother out of the chair. "These are my friends that I was telling you and Ma about."

The old lady had one hand on Grace's arm and the other wrapped around a walking stick. She raised it and pointed at Nathalie. In a soft but stern voice, she said, "Your hair is extremely short."

Nathalie looked at the old woman and pulled her hood off her head to reveal her short, wavy hair with an undercut on the left side of her head. Grace's grandmother lowered her walking stick and walked into the house. Grace followed and held the door open for the other girls.

The girls walked inside, Elise first, then Ray, Brooke and Nathalie. They all stared in awe at the large foyer that led off to the lounge room and kitchen on either side. "Nice house Gracey," Ray said while circling around on the spot.

"Thanks Ray. My family paid a lot to have this house built back in the 1880's," Grace replied.

"The 1880's?! But it looks like it was just built!" Brooke exclaimed, shocked at what Grace said.

"I know, my family over the years has kept good care of it. I want to introduced you to the rest of the family." Grace then walked upstairs and gestured them to follow her. At this point, her grandmother had already disappeared. Grace then opened a door at the end of a long hallway and a mother, father, an older woman and man, two boys and a girl were gathered around at the table. On the end of it was Grace's grandmother. "Come on in guys."

The four girls walked into the room and sat down around the table. "Girls, this is my family." She introduced her family to her friends. Her mother looked at Brooke and smiled.

"You seem like a lovely girl." She smiled sweetly and Brooke replied, saying that Nathalie was the nicest of the group. Grace's mother looked at Nathalie and examined her. "She does seem nice too. Grace, you have wonderful friends."

Grace smiled. Her two older twin brothers looked at Elise and instantly fell in love with her. They started to whisper to each other about her and what they were going to do tonight. Grace's aunt, uncle and cousin stood in the corner of the room. Their daughter was older than Grace and her brothers.

After 10 minutes, Grace's father had everyone sit down. "Tonight, Grace has friends over. So, we will do our annual tradition. A game, you could say. This time around, why don't we play Hide and Seek." Ray and Elise started to giggle. The man looked at them and raised an eyebrow. "Is there something wrong girls?"

Elise spoke up. "It's just that, how are we going to play this? You don't expect one person to search for everyone else in this big house."

The whole family chuckled except for the grandmother. "Oh my, no no no. You see, with out version of Hide and Seek," one of the twins started to explain it to the girls, "our version of this classic child's game is that the guests are the hiders, and we are the seekers. This whole family, all 9 of us are going to be searching for you."

Grace giggled, trying to hide her murderous intentions. "However, going off what Tony said, there will be consequences to if we find you."

"And, if you do find us? What are the consequences?" Nathalie asked, worry in her voice.

"That, we can not tell you." Grace's cousin, Angelina, replied. She stepped away from the wall she was leaning on, her arms folded. She pushed the hair out of her eyes and looked dead straight at the girls.

The grandmother took the bell from the table and rung it. "Let the games being. You will have 5 minutes to hide. Whatever you do, do not let anyone find you. You have until midnight to not be found."

The girls got up from their seats and ran off, exploring the house to find a spot, leaving the family staring at the doors.

The game had begun.
