Chapter 2
"You do know that I'm always with you. So don't worry, okay? Just focus on now, and let's be happy. You and I. Together."
Yiyeon didn't know back then that it would be the biggest lie she'd hear.
Now, the guy who said those words, who also failed to keep them, was standing in front of her two weeks after their break-up, and he was with someone else.
"You said I'm Hyunjin?" Jeno repeated what he said.
Yiyeon raised a brow, "Well, I thought you were," she scoffed. "It just happened that... I don't know. Maybe your car is also parked somewhere around here."
"Stop lying, Yiyeon-ah," Jeno chuckled.
The girl pointed at herself, "Why the fuck would I lie to you? Am I the one who lied, Jeno?"
Jeno took a step back, "It's not like that..." he turned to the girl who's with him, "You can go to the car first." The girl complied and went to Jeno's car first.
He took a deep breath before looking at Yiyeon, "Why are you bringing that up now? Was I that horrible towards you? Did I hurt you that much?!"
Yiyeon rolled her eyes, "Did I say something that you remember? All I did was ask you if I lied! Why are you bringing that up?" She raised a brow and crossed her arms. "It's not like I waited for you here on purpose. I already told you that I'm waiting for Hyunjin!"
"It's only been more or less two weeks, yet you're talking to someone already?!" Jeno was taken aback. It was as if he was talking to a whole new person.
"Yiyeonnie?"
The two looked at the person who spoke behind Jeno.
Hyunjin was confused as to why he heard his name before he arrived. If Chenle hadn't told him that Yiyeon was probably already at the parking lot, waiting for him to arrive.
"Hyunjin-ah, you're here already!" Yiyeon could tell that her cousin was confused at the scene unfolding in front of him, "should we go home?"
Hyunjin, although confused, nodded. He unlocked the car and ushered Yiyeon to go inside the car.
"Oh, and before we go," Yiyeon looked at Jeno, who equally looked confused like Hyunjin. "Bold of you to assume that I'm hitting on my own cousin." She scoffed.

"Hyunjin, spare me the drama, please," Yiyeon covered her head using the blanket. "It's Saturday. Stop forcing me to wake up."
"What do you mean?!" Hyunjin asked. "You didn't say a word to me the moment we left school yesterday, and you expect me to pretend that the scene didn't happen in front of me?!"
Frustratedly, Yiyeon sat up and glared at the boy, "Nothing happened aside from what you saw!" She stood up and went towards the window. "I can't even recall how our conversation ended up that way," she sighed.
"Do you want to talk about it, or do you want me to run out of here and stay out of your sight?" Hyunjin asked. He knows that if Yiyeon doesn't want to talk about something, then she wouldn't.
As much as he wants to irritate her more, he doesn't want to cross the line.
She took a deep breath before sitting on her bed, "He just appeared out of nowhere, and I thought it was you because who else would it be?" She sighed. "I guess he didn't know that you're my cousin, so he put up a fight, which was strange."
