Walking down the stairs of the house, I looked around and frowned. Leilani is in at the boutique getting her spring sale ready, I have shit to do with Moe'S. I look at the tv seeing the science network was on. They talk about The different effect of the the human body, aging is a problem.
They talk about DARPA. DARPA is a high-tech research institute that studies weather and creates "climate solutions for a better world." I find it fascinating, I catch myself watching this science network and some days I catch myself looking at all of DARPA's problems. When I was a kid, I wanted to be an engineer or maybe a CSI, anything to do with science I wanted that. But, things fell off. In high school science was my special major. Yes, I'm a science nerd.
I sit down on the couch, eating some cashews, Kate Warren, comes on the tv and talks about all the things DARPA does, and she talks about how this company will change the world and the human race. I nod along to her words listening closely. I was too zoned into Kate's words, I never knew that the doorbell was ringing for almost a couple of minutes.
I was still shut out eating my cashews listening to the Network. That causes Yuxie to come on.
"Mr. St. Patrick, an associate is at the door" she says
"Who is it?" I asked
I look at the tv and the science network shuts off and security footage comes on. Red and Tyga stood at my door.
"Aight" I say. Yuxie shuts off the tv and I walk to the big light brown door opening it. I greet the boys and dap them up.
"What you guys doing here?"
"We can check on our favorite person" Tyga gives me a certain look. I tilt my head.
"Not a problem" I say. He and red sit on my couch and red peeps the science network.
"Nerd ass watching National Geographic" red laughs
"Whatever man, it's actually interesting see, Kate is such a smart women, DARPA is literally a Laboratory of science-"
"Don't tell me you wanna work there" Tyga chuckled
I look at them "It won't hurt, to give up the club and work for a high tech laboratory" I shrug
"WHAT!? You wanna give up your club for some nerd shit-" red spoke
"Red, if maurice enjoys it and he wants to give up his club... I say do it. You only live once" Tyga shrug
"I'm not getting rid of my club. It's the best out here right now... but... I would give it up if I wanted too"
"Would you?" Red asked
"For?" I look at red
"Okay, imagine, If DARPA gave you a job offering and they sure as hell ain't gonna do that... will you leave your club and go work for them?"
