Walking through thick trees with all my men behind me. The only sounds we can hear are that of the animals around us slowly navigating through the thick rainforest with only the moonlight. The drenching rain pouring down on us, keeping moving towards the enemy lines. My ears cold but listening to everything I can pick up. The sounds of 15 pairs of boots slowly walking through the muddy ground beneath them, all behind me. The shallowness of my breath as I'm focusing on the path in front. The snaps of the branches from the trees as I clear a path. A small concrete structure is in the distance so I stop moving and hold my hand in the air in a tight fist causing pure silence as my men fall to a halt behind me. The rain pouring down. I pull my second command next to me and show him the compound. "Something is wrong. This isn't meant to hear we aren't meant to reach our camp for another 5 miles." I whisper over to him. As I turn back to the other I see their cold hungry faces my stomach sinks. "I think you guys should head around the side of this thing and ill stay here and keep monitoring the base I have enough rations for a 2 day. Stakeout. The others have nothing left they are cold and have been in the field for 2 months. Take them get them home."

"Lieutenant, we can't leave you in the field." He says a little too loudly. All of a sudden a white light seems down from the. Concrete building and is scanning the dense rainforest we are in. I push my second in command to the ground before it reaches us and it leaves me straight in their eye line.

"там! выйти!" (There! Step out!) Someone Shouted from the compound with a sniper rifle aimed at my chest the red laser not moving I slowly stood.

"Lieutenant, get down" my second whispered to me.

"Get them home. Sargent that's an order." I snapped back as I walked towards the compound with my arms raised in surrender. I was pulled into the building as the door shut behind me everything went black.

When I opened my eyes I was strapped into a wooden chair. I could feel my head pounding from the back, my clothes still wet. The room was empty with a glass panel on the wall to my left I didn't move just waiting. A man dressed all in black stepped into the room.

"имя на кого ты работаешь" (Name, who do you work for) The man said to me in what sounded like Russian. I looked at him and didn't say a word.

All of a sudden there was a pain in my leg. I didn't move didn't flinch but hell that hurt. He seemed impressed the small smirk on his face showed me that. Then another man with a scar on his left eye walked into the room.

"My guess is you don't speak Russian." He said as he tapped the other man on the shoulder. "The way you just reacted to that bullet ripping into your leg makes me think it's happened before. Your clothing tells me Army? Let me guess, Special Forces." He laughed walking closer to me, it stayed silent. He plunged a knife into my thigh. Which made me wince, as he saw that he took the knife out and did the same in my other leg. Slowly bleeding out from the wounds in my legs. "You will be a great new addition to our little organisation" was all I heard be for I blacked out from blood loss.

I woke up again in a metal container. With the two men, I had seen before me talking with some men in a lab coat. When the man with the scar saw me open my eyes he nodded to a corner of the room I couldn't see there was an intense pain through my entire body, it was like I was on fire I couldn't help by scream out in pain and bite on the thing that they had placed in my mouth.

I woke up knowing there was no escape and to survive I knew I had to listen and work with them I would escape at some point there was no point in trying to fight it.

"доброе утро, солдат. готовы начать обуение" The Russian was back and I was slowly beginning to pick up the words he was saying.

I didn't say anything but followed him out of the room, after being here a week they had assessed all of the things I knew, my environmental training hiding in plain sight. My hand to hand combat. My speed. My marksmanship. They continued to work harder and harder each day. To the point, I would pass out with exhaustion. I would wake up and do it all over again.

Today was different they took me back to the lab room. And pinned me back to the metal box I discovered had electrocuted me back the first time. This time it was different 3 needles entered my body. One in my neck one in my arm and one in my side. This hurt my blood was a bonfire pushing whatever they had put in me through my body. I was in pure agony.

I woke up again on the cold floor. I felt stronger more powerful my brain was in overdrive, thinking and mapping the whole building I could hear the sound from the corridor. The scar-faced man entered the room and walked me into another room. There was a punching bag and a treadmill it was test day again. I was faster stronger bigger. What had they done to me? They dragged me into another room there was a figure strapped to a chair shaking sobbing, the handed me a pistol.

"убийство. завершите свое обучение." (Kill. Complete your training) The Russian barked at me before he left the room I held up my gun to the person in front of me.

I woke up in the spare room at the avengers compound cover in sweat my breath frantic and my heart pounding in my chest. I looked over to the side of me at 03:00 great. I knew I wouldn't sleep anymore it's time to go back to London anyway I can't stay here forever. I slowly walked into the bathroom and jumped in the shower, having cold water running over my body my shoulder and leg was healing but still in pain I traced over the new scars that would be left and how they matched the other laced over my skin all from different injury's from my time being "trained" the worst was the one that I would have a constant reminder from my escape the dark deep scar that slashed from a sword from my chest to my hip.

I jumped out of the shower and got ready for my departure the Avengers had been great hosts Tony lending me some of his suits and the party from last night was eventful, meeting everyone from a huge different range of backgrounds and how they all respected and acted as a family surprised me. After putting on a black pair of trousers and a white shirt I pulled my self towards the kitchen as quietly as possible, thinking no one would be awake at 03:15.

I was shocked to find the famous red-haired assassin sat at the kitchen table nursing a cup of coffee.

"Morning" Natasha said to me as I looked at her in surprise.
