Natasha's pov

Another sleepless night meant another early morning head into the kitchen and pour a hot cup of coffee. Sitting at the table the compound was quiet just like normal. It was only ever me who was awake at this time unless someone was coming back from a mission Steve would be awake in a few hours always up the second I looked over at the door confused to hear footsteps walking down the corridor.

"Morning" I greeted Y/N as he walked through the door surprised to see someone awake he wasn't alone with the surprise. I pointed at the fresh pot of coffee on the side.

"Morning Natasha, I'm surprised to see someone awake." He said in reply making his cup of coffee. He's awake and ready for the day. In a shirt and trousers, looks like this is his every day.

"What's got you awake so early?" I was curious so had to ask can't blame me right?

"I could ask you the same question miss Romanoff?" He smirked at me, well what did I accept, I have known him a day.

"Fair point. Tony is probably asleep in his lab if you need him the others will be awake in a few hours." I said not lifting my eyes from his trying to read his emotions he looked like he was doing the same.

"No need to wake anyone, tell them all it was nice meeting them. I'm heading back to London today, it was nice meeting you Natasha." He said as he washed up the mug and placed it back in the cupboard.

"See you around Soldier boy" I smiled as he headed out the door and towards the exit of the compound.

I finished off my cup of coffee, put the empty cup in the sink and headed downstairs to the gym. I had this weird feeling in my stomach it's strange he has no job back in London, never mentioned any family or girlfriend or wife. Why did he want to rush back to, what seemed like nothing?

As I was training Steve came down with Sam and went on his run which meant I have been down here for 2 hours, I decided it was time for some breakfast. As I headed back for the kitchen Tony was in there cooking some pancakes and waffles with Parker sat asking him about 100 questions, I grabbed a glass of water.

"Morning Nat!" Peter said as soon as he saw me clearly in a great mood.

"Nat you couldn't go and wake Y/N? could you? I was thinking about looking over his suit with him today and going to speak to Fury about maybe setting up a room permanently" Tony said while plating up some of the food and handing it to Peter who got even more excited at the thought of the Brit staying permanently.

"Tony he left for London hours ago. He came in around 3 this morning had a cup of coffee and asked me to say it was nice to meet everyone. We said goodbye and he was gone." I replied sitting down at the table next to Wanda and Vision.

"Didn't you stop him? Do you think he will be okay? His shoulder and leg haven't completely healed." Wanda mentioned sleepily after waking up a bit more to the fact our mystery guest had left.

"I wasn't going to argue with him, his home is in London. We don't know anything about him. He was a casualty in a mission. Bruce looked after him for 2 months. I pretty sure he had a life before he met us. Don't you think?" I said questioning my self at the last part, he gave no emotions out to any of us who knows what he was up to or who he was going back to.

"I recorded his calls with the Prime Minister, she fired him because he nearly died! I guess your right, Romanoff." He sighed as he brought everything over to the table and called Friday to tell everyone breakfast was ready.

Steve and Sam sat down next to Bucky. Clint came in last and sat beside me. "Wheres the Lieutenant?" Bucky asked as we all were finally all here.

"Left early for London apparently," Tony said quietly clearly disappointed. The whole room was silent, everyone seemed to have an attachment to the White Knight that had appeared out of nowhere.

After an awkward breakfast Fury called a meeting to send some of the guys out on a mission, so I was left at the compound helping Wanda and Peter with some training.

"Peter you need to lift your elbows and keep them tucked in, that way you have more power. Wanda, you need to vary your movement you are becoming predictable." I called out to them as they are sparring against one another. Finally, Wanda pins Peter down and he taps out. As she helps him up they walk over to me to grab some water.

"So did you see his suit while you were out on that mission? What did it look like?" Peter said to Wanda as they walked over. "I saw him when he was on the Jet I think you would have liked it. It had a black body like Nats but had white accents down the arms and legs. He has his signature white hood and white mask built into the suit" she chuckled and nudged Peter.

"Nat, you met him twice right? Wanda told me he could lift Thor's hammer, what do you think makes him worthy?" Peter asked me after picking up his bottle and downing half of it looking at me with his innocent little eyes full of excitement.

"The first time we met he killed 4 hydra agents, and let me walk away without throwing a punch or hardly touching me. The next he shot a gun over my shoulder to stop me from getting attacked and then jumped in front of a gun for Tony. Either he thinks himself of a hero or he has a death wish, maybe both." I said calmly as I lifted a punching bag to the hook and tied it in it.

"White Knight, it kind of suits him you know. Coming to someone's aid when they need it most." Wanda says quietly while wrapping up her hands.

"I think it's such a cool name! Does he carry a sword with him? Like his signature weapon? You know like I have my webs, you have you magic Wanda and Nat has her widow bites?" Peter asks jumping up and around getting more and more excited. I laugh at the thought.
