“oheyy” I said getting up off the slide , Matt had fallen asleep.
“What are you doing here ?” Jax asked
“What are you doing here ?” I shot back giving him a death stare.
“Just walking…” Alli replied slowly
“Just … Laying? I said questioning myself
“Do you guys wanna come home now? Its getting dark” Jax said , looking up at the sky getting noticeably darker .
“Matt, wake up ..” I said poking him in the cheek.
When he woke up we all walked back to the guys’ house. I’ve never been inside before but when I stepped in I wanted to run back out . There was garbage everywhere.
“Guys when was the last time you cleaned this place.” I asked them
“Christmas .. When our parents came to visit.” Jax said scratching his head
“ Oh.. where are they ?” I asked carefully , not wanting to bring up anything bad
“Traveling south America or something.” Matt said
we walked over to the couch that was surprisingly clean , and Matt turned on the tv . They started flipping channels and there was a program on about Hollywood .
I sighed loudly , And everyone looked at me .
“Sorry , Its just that .. umm. I wish we could go to Hollywood.” I said quietly .
“Well , I mean .. If you don’t care about skipping a few days of school that I guess we could.” Jax replied shrugging .
My mouth dropped open just like Alli’s . Jax and Matt just laughed.
“You Ohio girls” Matt said pinching my nose
“Get packing .” Jax said , “We leave in the morning.”
Alli and I ran off to our house and started packing . What do you even pack to when you go to Hollywood . after about an hour our backpacks where full to the top and we where exhausted . We both fell asleep on my bed .
I woke up to …. Singing ? I checked my phone but nothing was coming out of it . I got out of bed making sure I wouldn’t wake Alli up and I walked towards my window . As I got closer the singing got louder . That’s when I remembered Matts singing the first day I met him . I opened my window quietly and sat on the window sill looking into what was obviously Matts room .
He was sitting on his bed playing the guitar and singing a familiar song . I stared at the back of his head and listened to his angelic voice. The gap between our windows was less than a meter apart . ‘Would I make it across’ I thought to myself , I really wasn’t in the mood to fall two stories down onto the pavement if I couldn’t . I finally recognized the song he was singing . It was a song by Sleeping With Sirens .
“Nobody's gonna love you if , You can't display a way to capture this ,Nobody's gonna hold your hand”
“And guide you through ,It's up for you to understand” I finished .
Matt turned around and looked me in the eyes and we both sang
“Nobody's gonna feel your pain, When all is done, And it's time for you to walk away……
When you have today, You should say all that you have to say” We sang together, His deep voice mixed with my raspy one and it sounded beautiful.
There was so much I wanted to say , But I knew I couldn’t. After about a minute of just looking into each others eyes Matt said
“Morning babe , You look horrible” He smirked
OH MY GOD ! I totally forgot I just woke up , My hair was a mess and the makeup I forgot to wash was smudged under my eyes.
“What , you’re not into the whole zombie look” I joked
And at that moment I saw something in his smile that I’ve never seen before . I got butterfly’s in my stomach and I couldn’t speak.
“Umm. Wake up Alli , were leaving for Hollywood soon.” He said snapping himself out of his trans.
